lildave3 Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 wot time is it on its on bbc 3 aint it BBC 3 at 7.
CosbehFox Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Well some weekend in Bundesliga. Hoff hammered, Voronin strikes a double against Bayern which puts Hertha top, Hamburg keep on the coat-tails of the leading pack with a win on Sunday and Leverkusen have put themselves in the picture. Some finish this will be...still backing Bayern. Bochum also won the Ruhr derby thus putting them out of the relegation zone. The majority of sides in the mire picked up decent points against strong opposition.
Darkzzz_ Posted 16 February 2009 Author Posted 16 February 2009 Betis really pushed Barca close didn't they. Possession was controlled by Barca and they shown that they can dig deep for a result. Pep is quality.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 February 2009 Posted 17 February 2009 For anyone with a remote interest, the Libertadores has got under way. Likely to end up with a heavyweight winning it, Boca and Palmeiras are favourites. Cruzeiro are a cheeky outside bet. And FAO Nathko - I recommend you buy this month's World Soccer, massive feature on Barca inside, and I know you're obsessed. It's a decent read, plenty of info aside from that as well.

I watched Boca a few times during the Apertura season and they impressed me. I am very much obsessed with Barca, something that has a hold on me in European football im afraid. I already got the mag.

Riquelme could still cut it at a top European club. No question.
Darkzzz_ Posted 18 February 2009 Author Posted 18 February 2009 Riquelme could still cut it at a top European club. No question. I am surprised no one has came in for him. He is class. The vision and technical ability he has is tremendous. Would love to watch a Boca vs River game. Imagine the atmosphere.

Would love to watch a Boca vs River game. Imagine the atmosphere. Watching the Boca / River games on TV makes me wet myself. The noise and the occasion just looks phenomenal. I guess having the top players like Riquelme and Palacio playing in Argentina will only encourage the youngsters to stay there and develop a bit further. I see Andres D'Allesandro has moved back to South America as well, shame he never reached his full potential, remember him doing really well in his little stint at Portsmouth.
Darkzzz_ Posted 18 February 2009 Author Posted 18 February 2009 Yes he was decent, thought he would go on and do well in Spain. Your right though, they need to develop their skills further at home before jumping ship. There can't be a bigger game than Boca vs River for any Argentine footballer. The stadium just rocks and that is just watching it through the TV.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 It'd have to be Velez / Boca for me.

Bochum was probably the best footballing experience of my life. Out the relegation zone and a win against there biggest rivals with 10'000 of their fans in the stadium! Soaked in beer when the 2nd goal went in and the 1st was a wonderous strike! Watch the highlights!! I am surprised no one has came in for him. He is class. The vision and technical ability he has is tremendous. Would love to watch a Boca vs River game. Imagine the atmosphere. I've heard Boca River is over-rated.

Some of my girlfriends family live in Argentina and they have said it is the greatest match you will ever see. I disagree because this weekend is the Catalan derby. The Perikos are going down!!

My mate's from Buenos Aires, his dad's friend has a executive box there. We're hoping to pop over to Argentina sometime and catch the Boca / River game. Should be AWESOME
