Darkzzz_ Posted 1 March 2009 Author Posted 1 March 2009 Now 3-3 at the San Siro between Inter and Roma. It has been a cracker. Edit: FT 3-3.
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 March 2009 Author Posted 2 March 2009 He silenced a lot of critics with that display last night. I think Madrid must have been going wild with delight in the other half of the City.
Joe. Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 DIEEEGOOOOO SERGIOOOOO What a ****ing goal for Diego's first. Oh, and about the Monaco game at PSG, interested.
Sparky Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Barcelona , Real Madrid ??? THEY ALL MAKE A MIGHTY BID BUT THEY WONT BEAT THE LEICESTER ANYMORE :fox: :city:
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 In love with Catania after that Mascada goal against Palermo.

Ultra Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Imagine what Argentina will be like at next year's World Cup with both Aguero and Messi in their side.. By the way, compare the fare in Madrid and Rome last weekend with the dross served up at the Emirates and Wembley. Is there STILL anyone out there who thinks the Premier is the best league on earth?
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 March 2009 Author Posted 3 March 2009 In love with Catania after that Mascada goal against Palermo. What a goal, watched the highlights on Rai down my girlfriends Nonno's house and we couldn't believe it!! A fierce derby and what a game to score that goal in. I wore my Aguero shirt around town yesterday I do actually love him. You remind me of Kun, your not short are you? Imagine what Argentina will be like at next year's World Cup with both Aguero and Messi in their side.. By the way, compare the fare in Madrid and Rome last weekend with the dross served up at the Emirates and Wembley. Is there STILL anyone out there who thinks the Premier is the best league on earth? I am looking forward to seeing what Argentina can do in the next world cup, they were up until getting knocked out in 2006 the best side. Means nothing though unless you actually win it. In regards to your comment about the Prem, It is only going to start arguments again isn't, It is a great league, but my personal opinion this season on the football I have watched goes like this: 1. La Liga 2. Serie A 3. Premiership 4. Bundesliga I haven't been watching the Bundesliga long, but since I got my new sat reciever I can't stop because it is everywhere. I don't think it is right to talk about a league you don't watch. So as I haven't been watching it long I will reserve judgement. I will say one thing though, the football I have watched from the bundesliga has been nothing short of class and the list above could change very soon. Really enjoying it.

I'm not saying it's the most enjoyable league though, if that's what you're referring to. As for Argentina, like recent tournaments, they'll probably disappoint yet again
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Agree with Shen. Maybe the strongest league, probably not the most enjoyable (this season anyway).

If you ignore them (because they're now a top 4 team) it's Spurs in 1984.
Lillehamring Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 it is the norwegian 'charity shield' this weekend, where vålerenga take on stæbek, should be a good game, especially as we beat them convincingly in the cup final, despite a poor showing in the league. it will be good to see how we look for the new season, which starts the following weekend, where we are away to rosenborg
shen Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Best top four sides maybe, but the last time an English team won the UEFA Cup was Liverpool in 2001. If you ignore them (because they're now a top 4 team) it's Spurs in 1984. There is a much greater relative financial incentive for non-Premier League clubs to do well in the UEFA Cup. English clubs get so much extra prize money for finishing a place higher in the league, and the TV money is ridiculous. That might explain your statistic... Besides, who measures league strength on the basis of the UEFA Cup?

lildave3 Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Fenerbahce 3-1 Sivasspor in the cup tonight. This after beating them 4-2 in the league. And they're top! Last season's UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists Fenerbahce maintained their fantastic Fortis Turkish Cup campaign by beating Sivasspor with a dominating 3-1-victory at the Fenerbahce Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. Talented canary Deniz Baris was the one who opened the scoring for the champions. Later on, Edu Dracena and Deivid de Souza increased the canaries' lead in Istanbul.
Joe. Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Madrid derby on Saturday at the Bernabeu. I'll watch it if I remember hopefully, assuming it's on Sky. Atletico have two horrible games in a row, Vilarreal the week after. Bring it all out Sergio.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 San Lorenzo 5 - River Plate 1. River are in a state at the minute. Only thing shining for them right now is Diego Buonanotte. 5ft 3" of talent.
lildave3 Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 San Lorenzo 5 - River Plate 1. Fenerbahce in a cup final. Against Besiktas.
Finnegan Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Buonanotte is awesome, haha, even LD3 could probably knock him off the ball.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Fenerbahce in a cup final. Against Besiktas. My prediction. Fener win. Not been following the old Turkish in the last few months, no doubt Besiktas have slipped off the radar.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 March 2009 Author Posted 5 March 2009 Really enjoyed the cup game between Mallorca and Barca. Barca were pretty unconvincing in the first half but second half improved. Iniesta back in the side is like having a new signing, that bloke is world class. It was down to that man Messi who came on for Bojan, he looked very lively when he came on and a mistake from Mallorca allowed him clean through on goal where he dinked the ball over the keeper for a cheeky but all important goal to send Barca through to the final. I hope they draw confidence from this for the game against Bilbao at Camp Nou on Saturday.
lildave3 Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 My prediction.Fener win. Not been following the old Turkish in the last few months, no doubt Besiktas have slipped off the radar. 3rd behind Sivasspor and Trabzonspor.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 March 2009 Author Posted 5 March 2009 Enough of this Turkish natter Let's concentrate on the big games in La Liga this weekend.
