Katy Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 PSG have gone defensive tonight. 4-5-1 with Luyindula up front on his own. Hoarau and Giuly both on the bench. They've obviously opted to concentrate on the league now that they're only a point behind leaders Lyon (huge game PSG-Marseille on Sunday night). No Sakho either, not sure if he's injured. I can't see them winning tonight. You were correct.

Floating Fox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 How many did Gala take to Hamburg then? Don't know on numbers but having seen the highlights I'd say a good 10'000. They scored an injury time winner only for it to be chalked off too. I am hoping Bayern draw an English team in the CL. Would love to see a failure by all of the English teams in the next round, know it's not going to happen though.

If Galatasary won the UEFA Cup at the Saracoglu, I think they'd go a little bit mad.

Darkzzz_ Posted 15 March 2009 Author Posted 15 March 2009 God. How good was Giovinco last night for Juve. After his and Juve's good showing against Chelsea in the week they brushed aside Bologna 4-1 at home and he was superb. I have said before if he is used well he will become a great player.

Saw him in that Toulon youth tournament, easily the brightest performer out of any side. Good win for Genoa over Cagliari this weekend, 1-0. Dortmund drew 4-4 with Hannover.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 It's the 'biggie' tonight - PSG v Marseille! Come on Marseille. Niang hat-trick.
lildave3 Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Fenerbahce 1 - 1 Kocaelispor Fenerbahce SK were held to a 1-1 draw to Kocaelispor at the magnificient Fenerbahce Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. In the 2nd minute Roberto Carlos' goal helped last year's Champions League quarter-finalists take the lead against Kocaelispor, but Moreira managed to score the much needed equaliser for Kocaeli. Despite coming close with other following efforts, the pressure failed to produce another reward.
Cobbo Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Well PSG ar being taken apart by Marseille this evening. 3-1 at the moment and PSG down to 10 men for a professional foul. 65 mins gone. Marseille really are playing some great football, with Zenden at the heart of it.
Ultra Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 With Lyon's defeat to Auxerre, Le Championnat is really opening up. 4 points separate the top six teams.
Darkzzz_ Posted 16 March 2009 Author Posted 16 March 2009 Barca are back. I think !! I don't want to get too sure because I know they will more than likely stuff it up, great to see Bojan get the goals last night.
CosbehFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 BUNDESLIGA REPORT Hertha continue their reign at the top of table thanks to that man again, Voronin who scored a goal of extreme luck against Leverkusen in their single goal victory. All good stuff happens when you're top. As Hoff are finding out, their 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt has put them 6 points behind the pack and it appears the zip is disappearing. An European place looks unassured. The other three teams kept up their chase of top spot, Bayern Munich punished Bochum away from home with three goals to nil. Bayern are rising to the challenge of domestic and european glory - 15 goals scored in 8 days!!! Hamburg beat Cottbus 2-0, Olic and Trochowski got the goals. Unfashionable Wolfsburg also stayed in the mix winning a 7 goal thriller against crisis club Schalke on Friday night - Gratife rised his goalscoring rate to 17 goals. Down at the bottom, Mochengladbach win got them out of the dump and put Karlschure and Cottbus further into trouble. Considering a trip on 23/24 May, Koln-Bochum or Mochengladbach-? and the Sunday at Duisburg or Ahlen.

An European place looks unassured. Hoff have really been unlucky after the turn of the year. Not only losing Ibisevic for the season, but also suffering injuries to Sanogo, Ba and Obasi (former two now back again). And the fine imposed upon them (75,000 Euros) because Ibertsberger and Beck? showed up 10 minutes late for a doping test after a game, is quite hefty! Looks like the German FA will finally introduce the "Chaperone system" because of this.
lavrentis Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 The big one guys..... Thrasivoulos-Panathinaikos Panathinaikos took an confortable away 1-0 win against Thrasivoulos for the 26th match day of the Championship. The goal that decided the game came at 13' with a penalty kick taken by Dimitris Salpingidis. Well that's all.
Joe. Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Atletico came back from 2-0 down to beat Vilarreal 3-2. Aguero, Forlan (erm, which others would it be?!) and Antonio Lopez from a corner () with the goals. Getting a bit of form back now, very nice on the back of the Barca win too.

lildave3 Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Bloody good save it was and all. Can forgive him after his goals so far this season... It was a cracking save. He made a couple of other cracking saves by the looks of it too.

You know what Joe, If Atletico were consistent they could actually challenge for La Liga. They clearly have a good side, they are a confidence team aren't they, as soon as they get that big win they start (In Pardews words) "Raping" everyone.
