Corky Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Fryatt must have had that one ready in training last week. I don't think I can actually ever recall him taking another free-kick like that for us? Me neither, but then again he's hardly taken a free-kick for us before.
Alexikokopops Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Was very deceptive really, in that position 9/10 times the player will shoot over the wall, the keeper was never expecting it to come to his left, the fact it was hit like a rocket didn't help his cause either. My view is that the keeper should always cover the side of the goal that the wall doesn't. You expect them to go over the wall, but it's a lot easier for them to spank it like Fryatt did so if yoy do what their keeper did you're making it a lot easier. I'm not sure if that made sense, but I know what I mean, ha. Not taking anything away from Fryatt though, he what the keeper was up and took advantage of it.
Unabomber Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Me neither, but then again he's hardly taken a free-kick for us before. It was certainly better than his weak effort against Tranmere.
Lillehamring Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 anybody have the capacity to stick em on you tube?
shen Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 cant you try going through a proxy server that would hide your IP? I have no idea how...
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 I always have this issue with Virgin Media - although the page does load, the video just won't start. Or would it help refreshing the page a few times? Bentley's Roof doesn't have it (yet) and apart from the fan videos, nothing on YouTube, either. EDIT: http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/S...1184439,00.html Mac OS X: Not supported
DB11 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Comments: Leicester City are off to flying start, now unbeaten in 4 !! The look impressive lets hope they can keep it going when they come to play the big teams. COME on YOU BLUES !! I swear we are the 'big team' ?
Head Honcho Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Lloyd has the power. What a beast. I forgot just how good his first touch was for his second goal.
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 They're on Bentley's Roof now. Four wonderful strikes - am I wrong or is Dyer's first goal smashed so hard into the net that the ball's bouncing out of it straightaway?
Guest Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Just seen myself on Skysports form the Cheltenham highlights. Lookin cool at the front in my shades Ollie's commenting on it too, let's see what the soundbite machine has to say
AmericanScott Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Fantastic goals! Oakley's strike made me jump! Dyer's second was very amazing to watch. Excellent run from him. I bet the Franchise fans aren't happy about him leaving.
Unabomber Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Second goal was a brilliant team move. Yeah it was, also love Dyers' last goal, so late in the game already 0 - 3 up and he has the desire to go on a run and score a goal like that. Also good to see all of the players celebrating together, espeically Gilbert worming his way in to the huddle after the first.
Ric Flair Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 What's the betting Fryatt now has a dig from any old angle after that free kick and there will be a thread started from Thracian bemoaning the loss of Alan Sheehan once more. I hope LCFC World ask him where he learnt that technique from, it was a Ronaldo toe poke. Brilliant.

Brilliant. I've never noted Fryatt as a free-kick taker in the past but I'll keep an open mind.
Corky Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Hopefully Fryatt will mix it up a bit if he's the free-kick taker from now on. I'm sure it's something Pearson will work with him on in training.
Ric Flair Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 I've never noted Fryatt as a free-kick taker in the past but I'll keep an open mind. Me neither! He's nerver looked particularly good from distance, but let's see what he can do.
