This is getting ridiculous, 3-3 draw with my defence, the only thing I can think of is that my right back spot is poor or my game is just being a bastard on purpous.

Simi Posted 22 February 2009 Posted 22 February 2009 Shocking run of form at the moment, using the same tactics as last season but nothing seems to be working. In the last two matches I've let 3-0 and 2-0 leads go in the last minute.

They're already class players to begin with, and without the reputation surely you need to have unrealistic success in the league/cups and the transfer market

dandannieldanok Posted 22 February 2009 Posted 22 February 2009 Why does Huth go to man city in every game i have?Edit:Yobo always seems to go to them to, (Yobo is a good player though) 19Mil for Yobo and 16 for Huth Man City always plump for the same players on my various seasons, £22.5m on Marek Hamsik always happens without fail. I'm with Pompey in the 3rd season and Man City have the likes of Arteta, Ireland, Kusmanovic turning out for their reserves. Think I'll start a game with Man City once the new patch is out and they'll have the likes of Given, Bridge and de Jong.

RE that list of players: I can't vouch for all of them but there's no way Srna is going to the Championship on 09. He's one of Man City's guaranteed buys on mine and goes for 22 odd million. As the in-house Lewandowski expert I can assure you he'll go to a majority of Championship clubs and even Leicester and Leeds in the first season. If he doesn't come instantly wait 'til January - it probably means your club isn't attractive enough to offset his "just arrived" loyalty effect with Lech Poznan (he played for Znicz Pruszków last year in real life.) At the latest he'll be obtainable at the start of the second season for about a million though usually has a few Scandanavian clubs sniffing around by then. He'll score for fun in the Championship even in the first season, bagging 30+ in a whole year. He's a "-9" for those of you who understand how potential works and will even clock up Wonderkid if you've got him playing weekly in the Prem with decent coaches. He, like Morgan Schneiderlin, will improve massively just by playing and you'll notice huge improvements. RE Man City: As you've probably noticed when you start the game, clubs have pre-set favorite targets ("Loading manager targets"), you'll often notice the same players going the same ways in the first season.

I was playing Derby, went 2-0 up and somehow the game turned in their favour 3-2 until I went all out attack and levelled it up 3-3. I should have had that game sewn up but no, I end up with a pont. Also I was just playing Wolves, went 1-0 up and somehow lost the game 3-1. It takes the piss it really does, if I set my mentality to defensive then it's asking for trouble, if I stick with attacking mindedness I'll get caught out too. It's lose/lose.

It seems to me that your tactics are failing. If you are 2-0 up you have 2 options in my view, well maybe 3. first one - increasing your attackin mentality a bit more, the other teams confidence will be knocked if they are 2-0 down, and at half time a talk of "pleased" or "do not get complacent" is a good idea. Also if you do increase your attackin mentality, increase time wasteing to max, so the ball is taken into the corners alot. option 2 - play normal football but have counter attacks on, this will invite pressure, but you will also hit them on the counter and bag a 3rd goal, this normally only works if you have 2 cb's who are having a stormer of a game tho' 3rd option leave it how it is.

"Pleased" with any attacker over 7.4, and "You have faith" to your entire defence / keeper. Foolproof. I have NEVER lost a lead doing this and usually go on to win by three or four. Thankyou Shen! Lovejoy Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Quite happy with my Yanited game tbh. Won the League and League Cup, lost in the FA Cup 5th Rd 4-1 to Liverpool with the ressies/yoof. Got Chelsea in the Champions League final.
