The idea is to look for young talent relatively cheaply so that I can form a team which can stick together for a few seasons. Easier said than done.

Also a dilemna: Van Der Saar's contract is up at the end of the season, his stat's are decreasing so I'm not going to offer him an extension. However I don't see Ben Foster as a Manchester United number 1. I've also just noticed that Messi has a release clause of £43.5million. So do I sign a world class keeper, or Messi? Won League Cup, Super Cup, World Club cup. am 2 games behind in the prem, and have an FA cup replay still to play, and a second leg Champions league game v Ajax Only conceded 10 goals in the prem too. Think i could end up playing close to 70 games, with a thin thin squad. Messi and aguero keeping my frontline going though

He refuses, wants more. Fair enough he wants more but I physically can't give him any more and I'm not trying to extend his contract - just give him a pay rise! He's still turning it down. Sigh. Just entered may and i now face e 9 games in 26 games, and 3 games in 4 days Which include: 2nd - Home v madrid 4th - away v Liverpool 5th home v arse As i have just entered may i have played 59 games, Scoring 120 goals and conceding 42. And I swear I can't find a working formation for the championship, I'm playing a 5 man defence and yet I'm still getting 3/4/5 scored past. It's ridiculous.

Who are your starting 11? I'll show the tactics I was using when I load FM up again tomorrow. Can't now, got some huge patch trying to install for Fallout 3 that's taking hours.
Ozwin Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 I've found some formation on Sigames' forum, going to give it a try and if not I'll come back to you Finnegan for yours. As for now here's my squad, it's not massive but I reckon it should be top of the table at least. Playoffs easily.

Haynes is a good catch and Kissa and Tunch are both demons in any league except the Prem, what's that keeper like? I really don't get how you're shipping that many goals. The formation I used was: LB, CB, CB, RB - <DM - CM - AM>, AMR>, AML> - ST. Playmaker, counter attacking. CM was the playmaker (David Edwards <3.) I'll slap up the sliders and the Individual Tactics sliders tomorrow if you want them - or just upload the tactic. It's vital to make sure all of the "Mentality" sliders are close to each other. Having your forward players on max attack and your defensive line on max defence, for example, causes serious imbalance in the team.
