Nani brought on as a sub as Guardado wasn't slicing the bread creates a chance out of nothin before scoring a replic in the 89th minute. Just into extra time now.

Shen cracked this one for me... SAY NOTHING! 2 - 0 at half time = say nothing. "Pleased" with any attacker over 7.4, and "You have faith" to your entire defence / keeper. Foolproof. I have NEVER lost a lead doing this and usually go on to win by three or four. Thankyou Shen! (I think it was...) Doing nothing works best on 2+ goal leads for me too, if it's a 1 goal lead I tend to encourage them. Saying pleased is suicide though, my performace always drops.

No need to say who got the winner after picking up the ball on the wing coming inside before firing a low drive past Cech .

I have followed all instructions given in the FM2009 official thread, however I get a message saying: Unable to load resources! Could not open the data folder! I have spoken to Ched and his opened up straight away, Mine does not, I don't know why. angry.gif I have looked through the FM2009 files & there is a DLL file i wanted o see if I could open it rolleyes.gif thumbsup.gif

When loading/calculating results, you have the small box with tips poppinng up, and one said that it was generally a bad idea not to say anything at HT, but in some cases it might work. I found it worked best/all the time when you're a pre-match favourite and said something like "expect to win" pre-match and leading at HT.

Ozwin Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Nice one Finn. I'll give that a try, I do actually say pleased to anyone over 7.0 except usually I'll say 'I have faith' in players that are on 5s. It worked last year but this game isn't as nice. I'll fire up FM in a bit and see how it goes.

With 25 minutes to go of the final game i'm set to finish 7th EDIT - Finished 6h, a point behind Sevilla in 5th. Gutted. Ah well. Might look to leave in the Summer.

It's not as bad in this games as in previous ones, but I've had countless games absolutely dominating the opposition just to lose to their only crap chance in the game....

Yeah this was on 08 actually, but used to happen to me quite a lot. I find it happens a lot less with effective set pieces, attacking and defending.
