Eventually I gave in at £5m (well Milan did), of which I now have £3m of to play around with for players. Don't know who to buy though if I'm honest.

Blew the £3m on Delph, and he's started well for me. Shame the team hasn't. First three games in the Championship: L,D,D. Not good. Manucho is shaping up nicely to become an absolute donkey, and the others aren't much better. If it weren't for Paul Henderson being an absolute god so far it'd probably be worse. Signed: Ross Wallace, Rafael, Manucho (loans) and Fabien Delph and Bradley Johnson (permanents). A relegation battle awaits.

I really don't like spending more than £4m on a player so that question makes me feel a bit awkward. Doubly so knowing in the first two seasons he'd have been available for ~£400k-2m. At that price he'll be far less value for money. However, I do still think he's genuinely one of the best all-round strikers I've seen on the game that aren't in the £25m+ price bracket. I sincerely expect his value to be 12m+ by the end of my current season if he plays well. Edit: If it helps, I personally wouldn't sell him for anything less than 30m.

DB11 Posted 19 December 2008 Author Posted 19 December 2008 What I tend to do now, hopefully this is promotion form for Swindon, is to play counter attack and go for 0-0s or 1-0s away from home and then at home I use a fairly attacking tactic, which just beat Luton 7-0

Mikey Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 First game of my new season, 2nd season in the Premiership, I lost 4-2 to Chelsea. Came back from 2-0 down to 2-2, buy they scored 2 last minute goals. Kompany and Welbeck scored for me, while Lewandowski and Alex Texeira had solid games.

Hakola is fast but that's about it on mine His crossing could do with some work as he easily beats his man every time and has a solid opportunity to cross but ****s up
