Finnegan Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 He's keeping Welbeck out the team atm. He's playing really well. Welbeck's shit n'all.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Decided I'm going to start with Hamburg either tonight or tomorrow, clearly inspired by the Villa game tonight.
Joe. Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 It's nice having Man Utd as a parent club. Managed to nab Rafael and Manucho both on loan for the season to replace Gilbert and Murphy respectively. Signed Bradley Johnson for pittance as well who looks fairly decent. Trying to trim the squad down a bit but c*nts like Steve Howard won't leave.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Decided I'm going to start with Hamburg either tonight or tomorrow, clearly inspired by the Villa game tonight. Great, no transfer budget whatsoever and a wage budget already in deficit. This is going to be tough.
lildave3 Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Trying to trim the squad down a bit but c*nts like Steve Howard won't leave. You didn't just say that...
J.Lisemore Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Trying to trim the squad down a bit but c*nts like Steve Howard won't leave. Steve Howard bagged 20 goals in League 1 for me.
Darkzzz_ Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I am trying it hard to play any other games since the arrival of FM2009. A few of my mates have jacked it in also, stating it is to in depth. You just can't win sometimes can you, people want it more in depth then they moan when it is. My tips for anyone starting: 1. Get your tactics sorted 2. Get your coaching staff sorted 3 Set your training up in accordance with players attributes 4. Sort the dead wood out and replace if you are able 5. Start with a smaller club FM is for real men....
potter3 Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Anyone see how how good Sisi (AM RL) become after a few years please His real name's Sisinio González Martínez if there's a lot of players coming up. And Lucas Roggia, if he's on your game

I can see you point, but I personally don't want to be faffing around with training to suit certain players. I don't mind tactics & coaching staff, but training is boring, get the assisstant to do that.
morris1234 Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 made some legendary signings for aldershot. got rid of a lot of players for next to nothing, got a few grand for a few players but thats it, just wanted to free up my wage budget. currently in june about to start 2nd season. ins: craig molloy - free andy monkhouse - free michael coulson - free nicolas priet - free sean o'hanlon - free damion stewart - free steve lovell - free john halls - free scott flinders - free ryan berry - free brian carrigan - free andy hughes - free stephen ettien - free tom craddock - free paul mcinnes - free
Joe. Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I signed O'Hanlon for Leicester too, and a good signing at that. You can get him on the cheap and he'll always stick in a good performance for you. Spoilt for choice at centre back with Kisnorbo, Tunchev, O'Hanlon, Berner and Morrison all still with me.
morris1234 Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Priet! hell yes, quality league 2 defender, around the same stats as clayton mcdonald, whom i had on loan last season. james chester who was amazing for me last season is out of contract but doenst want to come to me! young boys fc have just signed lewandoski for 5k! whaaaaaaaaaaaat! thats shocking, id have given you that!

Spoilt for choice at centre back with Kisnorbo, Tunchev, O'Hanlon, Berner and Morrison all still with me. even though i was decent last season i had a leaky defence, especially in the second half of the season. i conceded 72 goals which was the 3rd most in the league! but ive signed priet,o'hanlon and even damion stewart from qpr. plus i kept chris balckburn who was quality for me last season, so i should be fine! plus with scott flinders between the stick sill be unbeatable! hoping lovell/craddock/ coulson can provide enough goals! edit: just now chris blackburn was rated my player of the season by the fans!

And Lucas Roggia, if he's on your game On mine Roggia isn't on it, and Sisi has just signed for Valencia and is quite good.
Fox You Forest Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Scunny were 9 points clear at one stage with a game in hand too. I made an offer for Gilbert (900k) with about 2 months of the season to go and they rejected it, I looked about a month later and he was transfer listed with an asking price of 550k. Nice one Arsene. Time to sign Finners love child and tear up the Championship.
Mikey Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Just finished first season in the Premiership with Leicester. Came 12th. Elmander was top scorer with 14. Kompany got in team of the year. Hoping for a top-half finish next year.

Amen to this. People were moaning that last years was too easy and the same people are moaning it's too hard now. Make your minds up.
Joe. Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Amen to this. People were moaning that last years was too easy and the same people are moaning it's too hard now. Make your minds up. How can people be saying this game is more difficult when at least three people here have Leicester in the Premiership with successive promotions?! Surely it's easier if anything?
dandannieldanok Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 How can people be saying this game is more difficult when at least three people here have Leicester in the Premiership with successive promotions?! Surely it's easier if anything? Certainly easier to tempt players to sign for you, the inability to get anyone decent on loan in FM08 was ridiculous.
shen Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 How can people be saying this game is more difficult when at least three people here have Leicester in the Premiership with successive promotions?! Surely it's easier if anything? A lot cheat in FM but don't admit to doing it. Don't you find it strange how many mention getting promoted through the playoffs? You NEVER hear of someone who lost in the playoffs...

potter3 Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Certainly easier to tempt players to sign for you, the inability to get anyone decent on loan in FM08 was ridiculous. I got Seb Leto in the Championship and he was the only loan I signed.
