lookwhaticando Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Manager of the Month cure strikes again. Disappointing, really, we've lost a bit of momentum... internationals are to blame. Fact.
Hitesh Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Reality check would be the best way to put it. We started off well but a bit like last season, couldn't get the ball in the net! Hopefully this will be a one off! From the sounds of it, we lost are shape after the subs and didn't really do much after Dickov came on.

Zingari Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 couldn't win against 10 fookin men pearson out
Head Honcho Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 If they deserved it then fair do´s but opting out of the Colchester game was a big mistake!
FilboFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Pearson did nothing wrong particularly, was pleased to see the effort to change things and get more men up front, they just couldn't get the goal. All I'd say is that from the sounds of it, Dyer should be out cause he sounded crap.

All I'd say is that from the sounds of it, Dyer should be out cause he sounded crap. And he was up against a right winger playing out of position!
FilboFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 And he was up against a right winger playing out of position! Really!?! ****ing 'ell... sounds like a useless buy then... although didn't he have some good games?
JadeFalcon Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 need to get shot of fryatt, supposedly our best striker ? cant score for shit tbh, he cant say he isnt getting the service, only good enough for this league
Tilley Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 need to get shot of fryatt, supposedly our best striker ? cant score for shit tbh, he cant say he isnt getting the service, only good enough for this league Get rid of Fryatt? He's got five goals this season, if you hadn't noticed Anyway, to today's game, Absolutely shit. Morrison was out the game completely, look nothing like he has, infact, the whole defence were at 6's & 7's for the whole match. Matt Oakley, once again, was a bag of wank! Please, play Wesolowski instead, Oakley is no captain! Gradel's final product was dreadful, yet again. He look scared to run at people, & his crossing and shooting left alot to be desired. Howard & Fryatt looked lost, & like they had never played with each other. Howard completely marked out the game by that albino chap. Dickov looked lively when he came on, but never really looked like creating too much. & now for my biggest moan, DJ Campbell, what is he supposed to do in eight minutes? His movement was fantastic, ok he blazed over a shot which should have hit the target, but the bloke gets no football. He should have replaced Fryatt with half an hour to go. Big wake-up call and brings the team and fans back down to earth. Absolutely crap. Big Nige needs to give them a bollocking tonight and get them in training.
Scaramanga! Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 No end product. But it's just a blip. Though playing against a bunch of dirty f#$*%rs, i wasn't surprised that they sneaked a goal and sat on it. And I hope they throw the book at Kandol.
Joe. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Awful, awful performance. We deserved nothing at all from that, even though Millwall weren't really any better than us. We were shocking in all departments today, the defence were all over the place, especially Jack Hobbs which was surprising. The midfield had absolutely no control over the game, and the passing on display was absolutely terrible. As soon as Gilbert went off Gradel was isolated on the right, and countless times received the ball on the halfway line with two Millwall players ahead of him and nobody to support him. As for the forwards, Fryatt was his usual frustrating self, failing to search for the pass on a number of occassions and finding offside a number of times as usual. Howard was slightly better, but couldn't really have much effect on the game with the service provided. Not so confident now are we?
Mark Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Paul Dickov on the wing is an absolute catastrophe. Pearson had no idea how to change the game today and just threw extra strikers on, if Howard and Fryatt can't score, get them OFF. Once Gradel was replaced on the wing by Dickov it was game over, no he didn't have the best of games but it was an option out there. We had no idea from then on (not that we did much throughout) and we had Morrison was crossing the ball... who had a nightmare today... unbelievable.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 TBH I thought Hobbs was one of our better players today. Morrison was god damn awful. Fryatt needs to know when to release the ball. Nothing went for us really today, It was a scrappy game and as soon as they scored the inevitable happened as they soaked up all the long balls. The ref (!) was turd. There was a clear handball in the box, he had no control over the game at all.

Joe. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Oh god, the ref was ridiculous. So, so pedantic and very frustrating throughout the match.
Simi Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Pearson did nothing wrong particularly, Tunchev at right back? Dyer staying on for the full 90? Fryatt playing the full 90? Letting Millwall have the ball for periods when we needed to pressure? Pearson got it wrong today, like he will on future occasions. We played with a low tempo and didn't seem to rush Millwall until the last 5. They were allowed to play spoling tactics because we made it so easy for them to do it. We lacked the clever one-twos that had worked well for us on previous occasions and seemed to run out of ideas by the end of the first half. Few of our players turned in insulting performances today, but this could be a good wakeup call. Looking forward to Oreint, but today was utter dog shite.

He didn't really have much choice, maybe he could've moved another centre back to right back, but either way, someone would've been out of position. I hope this is a rude awakening, and they perform a whole lot better next week.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Typical Foxes fan response: first sign of trouble and we are up in arms as if relegation looms. This site was flooded with "when we get promoted in march" threads the other week. But then the team have the audacity to put in a sub-par performance and we're all on their back. Yes, LCFC didn't not play well today. But it wasn't the end of the world. It wasn't awful football, a host of missed chances, lack of skill or a 0-4 drubbing at home. It was a 0-1 loss to a more physical team, that marked our most in-form players (fryatt + gradel) out of the game. Gilbert, Gradel and King were always going to be struggling against the physicality of Millwall. But to be fair out of us and Millwall which one do we all think will end up on more points over the course of the season? 3 points lost is bad yes. But not influential, if the Foxes are as good as everyone has been saying up until now then surely our promotion won't all come down to 3 points? I expect many to blame the early kick-off and the international break (that pearson opted for) for the performance today. I acknowledge that it will have had an influence but what's the point in moaning about that decision now? We will still have a game in hand until September 30th Plus Pearson is quickly showing himself to be a reasonably skilled manager and I'm sure this game will spur us onto a better showing next week. So let's just get behind the foxes and remember how bad things could have been if Holloway were still in charge.
Mark Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 He didn't really have much choice, maybe he could've moved another centre back to right back, but either way, someone would've been out of position. Morrison should have gone out there he had a nightmare from start to finish at center back, at least he's right footed. By the way Kandal's sending off was the highlight of the match
Webbo Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 We started well but as soon as they scored we weren't in it. I thought the 2 centre backs were sloppy today although Morrison improved in the second half. Tbh I didn't think Fryatt and Howard did that badly without really looking like scoring. Gradel's deadballs were abysmal. To sum it up the better side won.
Benji Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 6-18 fouls 2-4 yellow cards disgusting, look up consistency in the dictionary

Morrison was dog though.
Joe. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 It was clear what Millwall set out to do today, and fair play to them it worked. They slowed the game down at every opportunity, with niggly fouls everywhere and used every other trick in the book that they could think of. Annoying, but that's what worked for them on the day.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 He should have moved a right footed centre half to right back, simple I'd of thought. He didn't have a bad game anyway. Morrison was dog though. Last time i looked, Tunchev was right footed. But Morrison. AWFUL .
