Tilley Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 You just did! Also DB11 will never make it as a ref. He can't be much worse than today's awful excuse of a referee.
Ricey Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Awful performance. Fryatt and Howard were inaffective and uninterested all game, we lacked physical strength in midfield and Pearson got it wrong when he moved Dickov out wide. I'm hoping this is a wake up call and not a sign of things to come.
BlabyFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 i think one of the main reasons we lost today is that we resorted to hoofball ian holloway style after we went 0-1 behind. we kept hitting and hoping only for the millwall CBs to head clear- and this happened continously excluding the first ten minutes. NOW this doesn't suit are playing style, let alone poor dyer and gradel waiting for the ball out wide only for hobbs/morrison to punt in hopefully towards howard. it really was abismal in some parts of the game- reminisent of last season in some parts! also really bad game for the so far solid centre backs who made mistake after mistake OAKLEY= NOT A LEADER + SHIT ANYWAY FRYATT, GRADEL, DYER = not in the game because of our style KEEPER= WORSE THAN HENDO Today has made me slightly worried about how we will perform once going behind. WE HAVE PLAYED AMAZING SO FAR THIS SEASON UNTIL TODAY, NOW COME ON LADS, LETS NEVER, EVER PLAY LIKE THIS AGAIN :city:
BlabyFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Pearson did nothing wrong particularly, was pleased to see the effort to change things and get more men up front, they just couldn't get the goal. All I'd say is that from the sounds of it, Dyer should be out cause he sounded crap. dyer was one of the best today especially first half and was emaculate in the last game if you didn't go to the match you can't have a valid opinion
The Stig Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Millwall were no better than us today. But they wanted it more. I think this defeat may do us good, bring us off cloud 9, as at times today we looked like we expected to get a goal, and didn't work hard enough for it. We had the quality there, but didn't get it right at crucial times. Millwall at times allowed us yards of space, but our decsision making was mostly poor. Never mind though, one bad preformance, which was always going to happen, and I have every confidence that Mr P will sort them out ready for the next game, although he has to take a portion of the blame today. I didn't see the real need to go three up front. I'd rather us stayed with two up front and have Dickov with Howard, I'd have took Fryatt off around the 70 mark.
The Stig Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 dyer was one of the best today especially first half and was emaculate in the last gameif you didn't go to the match you can't have a valid opinion I undersand he's been good so far, but today he wasn't, not was Max Gradel.
The Reverend Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I agree with the sentiment but if we let players get away with shoddy performances then the whole chosen men syndrome begins again. I don't want wholesale changes for the next game but a small shake-up wouldn't do any harm, we've got a big enough squad. If Kisnorbo is already in full training I'd hope that he is at least considered for a start next saturday, our defence bar Powell was so poor today. I dont think he's in full training, just light training. I dont think we'll see him for another month at the very least.
syston_fox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 he's the new elvis hammond. Who incidentally is on trial at Yeovil and scored two for the reserves in the week
The Stig Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Who incidentally is on trial at Yeovil and scored two for the reserves in the week Someone's been reading the programme
eye666 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 dyer was one of the best today especially first half and was emaculate in the last gameif you didn't go to the match you can't have a valid opinion Dyer couldn't get into the game and had to drift into the middle to get the ball, and when he did he often lost possession. Many problems today. Goalie looks a bit suspect. Hobbs and Morrison missed way too many headers or misjudged them putting us in trouble. After about 25 minutes they looked dodgy together and think Pearson got that wrong. The Tunch should have started with either of them, but putting in two inexperienced defenders was a wrong call. King disappeared like he has done before for large periods of the game. Oakley is not a midfield general and again could not dominate. Dare we say, when will Clemence be back? There was no width at all, with the wingers man-marked out of the game, and combined with the lack of quality and end product from the midfield led to few real chances. We need someone to dominate the midfield, hopefully Clemence when he comes back (but after last season not holding my breath, but we shall see). Why Adams wasn't on the bench I'll never now, cause he's looked lively this season. Fryatt played crap to be honest, lost the ball far too much and didn't look to be the same player who'd scored 5 this season. Howard was his usual self - ball hoofed up to him far too much for my liking, but unlike the Tranmere and MK matches where he won almost every header, he was marked out of the game by that beast of a central defender (blonde chap, must've been 6'4") who won everything in the air. DJ is crap and should be flogged in Jan, and a pacy striker brought in, as we lack pace up front (preferably somebody with the pace of DJ but who can actually put the ball in the net). Millwall were quite frankly shit and should never have won the game. Trouble was, we were even worse. But they obviously did their homework, had a gameplan and fair enough they stuck to it. Rough up our boys in the first 20 minutes to stop us playing football, and keep up a physical game. Second half they just lumped it forward at every opportunity, put bodies at the back and stopped us from getting through, a problem I fear may happen often this season unless we can play some penetrating balls from the midfield. They've shown teams how to beat us, so we need to be able to rough it this season and find ways to break teams like Millwall down. Overall I hope Pearson and the team see this is as a wake-up call and put the effort in so that it is a one-off as today was dreadful. I've not seen them play like that since Colchester at home at the end of last season. Come on lads, pick yourselves up, put in the effort and let's fook up the Orient next week!
syston_fox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Someone's been reading the programme Best entertainment I had at the walkers today! Zsolt Laczko was on trial at Watford too..... after his performance in the game at Vicarage Road how did he manage that??

Like the Ipswich (?) loss in our promotion season a few years ago, think we lost 4-1 and IMO it was the one of the best results in that season, gave us a good kick up the backside and a reality check.
James. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Just a little mention of the post match entertainment while walking back to the train station. If you were one of the small boys trying to act like hooligans running up Brazil Street and up past the Tigers ground away from the police then I have three words for you... f**king grow up.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Correct.Like the Ipswich (?) loss in our promotion season a few years ago, think we lost 4-1 and IMO it was the one of the best results in that season, gave us a good kick up the backside and a reality check. 6-1.
Matt Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 6-1. Ah that it, Jon Stevenson scoring for us.
Maybes Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Ah that it, Jon Stevenson scoring for us. I remember listening to that on the radio haha. Super Jon. Nicky Adams to start at Orient? I hope so.
Nugent Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 One of the worst Leicester performance's I've seen for a while. The only shot on target I can remember us having is Howard's long range effort in the 1st half. We need to bounce back against Orient.

Tilley Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 You should see some of the away fans birds. There was one very good looking girl with her boyfriend in the Millwall end, believe it or not. Very tasty. Not tempting you into making an appearance yet Sammy boy?
