Why So Serious?

The reason why "When You're Smiling" will never truly be adopted (IMO) is because it's too awkward to sing en masse.

If you opt for something without any words, everyone joins in after two seconds and you're free to go ****ing crazy like that lot did.

Seriously, that video elevated supporting your team to an art form. Superb stuff.

Turkish Bar?

When you go back, get Mehmet to get us some from there!!! :sweating:

Exactly what I was thinking of!

He probably has some himself!

What am I supposed to be looking at? The flag or the people in the crowd with torches?

Surely you can look at both, I mean they are in the same video on the same screen.

What about the people who wanted to sit down?

There's no such thing like sitting in Poland. You wanna sing and support your team? You have to stay! That's not England, where people are eating sausages, pop-corn, and drinking cola, and singing something one time in the course of 20 minutes. That's not supporting. All you, you "almost-like-supporters", are just CUSTOMERS, not supporters. You're not supporting your team, by eating and drinking on the stadium. You have to SING LOUDLY in the course of 90 minutes, without any pauses! Watch us, and LEARN from us, Poles. That's all, cheers.

fook off it's 10 minutes long

You lazy bastard ;p

BTW: my nick has a typo, i know it. ;p

"DB11, we'd like you to ref this game on saturday"

"fook off, it's 90 minutes long"

I await his clever reponse: 'I ref under 8's and they only play 20 mins each way'.

That does look highly impressive and can't fault the support or the organisation of it. I haven't been to a game in an atmosphere like that but can't help thinking it seems a bit too choreographed for my liking and may stifle some of the spontaneity where a lot of the humour and banter in English football comes from, like everyone shouting handball at Orient...not a great example but can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Quality video.

That's more a stereotypical sporting event in the USA rather than England. Just because we have all-seater stadiums and atmospheres that cannot get close to countries Poland, it doesn't mean that the above is the case. See Sheffield United away last season, it was nothing like what you've said.

Yes but I fail to see what is so incredible about either of them.

How do you go about organising something like that?

Getting 10 people in the Kop to sing the right words of the same song is almost impossible let alone hundreds willing to hold a giant flag above their heads and then change like that!

PS: Flares? We'll have to get health and safety on that
