Might be worth a look. I heard this, looking forward to it. Loving this thread by the way - being a complete girl in the kitchen (no offence to you girls) it's nice to join in! And to our friend from Luxembourg - a classic! chuck some parsley in though!

Unabomber Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Planning a chorizo stew with egg yolk ravioli later this week. Praying that the pasta turns out well, or it could be a disaster.
Guest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Loving this thread by the way - being a complete girl in the kitchen (no offence to you girls) it's nice to join in! You can't talk like that! After all, most top chefs are blokes. The more the merrier, I say! I'm so non-girly in the kitchen. Boiling eggs remains a challenge. You need to find a decent bloke who can cook! Planning a chorizo stew with egg yolk ravioli later this week.Praying that the pasta turns out well, or it could be a disaster. Sounds nice. I am planning a chorizo pasta bake for tomorrow, but I am not making my own pasta! Today, I am making this year's Christmas cake. Never made one before, and found a recipe that doesn't require treacle (what I don't use would end up sitting in the cupboard for ages....). I also found out that we have no rum or brandy, so had to improvise on the booze by adding amaretto. Seeing as this recipe uses loads of almonds, and I intend to marzipan and ice the cake, I could end up with cyanide poisoning at this rate!!
JakeShingler Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Just started my catering course at college so i should get good.

Guest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 In September? Yes. It keeps, and every few weeks, you steep it with more alcohol, so come December it's aged and boozy. Bit like me. Nah, sounds great - you can never had too much almond.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 I just ate toast with Marmite and peanut butter on it. It were the absolute tits. I don't know why I've never done it before. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

AoWW Posted 23 September 2009 Posted 23 September 2009 Just made Spag Bol, bit dry but no complaints so far from the family. Should have thrown more red wine in it.

Unit Posted 23 September 2009 Posted 23 September 2009 bought this wicked jalapeño sauce yesterday in the reduced bit at asda, "so green it's obscene". I'm so far lobbing it on everything, it's been part of my breakfast dinner and tea. quality stuff.

ronnup Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 White wine traditionally. I agree it tastes better with red.
Guest Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 All this mushroom talk is making me feel sick.
