I've gone and got my sausage to chips time ratio disastrously wrong.

You haven't done a Teeno and cooked 20-odd sausages?

Not my cup of tea, H....

Tonight it's a fusion of Mediterranean loveliness - chorizo and mozarella pasta bake. Yum yum.

Ok, I'm having a bit of a Ready, Steady, Cook moment resulting from the amount of stuff in my fridge that needs using up. And, erm, I'm not exactly known for my culinary ability which is where, hopefully, some of you can give some suggestions.

I've got to use up: chicken breasts (defrosted already, can't refreeze), creme fraiche, and fresh chicken stock. Oh, and some parsley that's rapidly wilting. :/ I've also got lots of fresh grapes, if I can somehow incorporate them.

I was thinking along the lines of frying up some onion with the diced chicken, adding seasoning and some garlic, (and maybe some toasted pine nuts?) then adding the chicken stock with some white wine and letting it reduce down. Finally stirring through the creme fraiche, parsley and halved grapes.

Thoughts? Other suggestions? :dunno:

Ive been attempting to make my first steak & ale pie from scratch because the lurpack ad told me to. Ive finally just applied the pastry, and it kind of just fell into the meat, oh well! Hopefully will turn out ok...

That sounds delicious to me! I'd add a bit of soy sauce to it too. And have it with rice maybe.

2 hours to cook.

20 mins to scoff.

and about an hour n half to clear the shit away.

Cooking chicken properly will avoid food poisoning.

You can type your ingredients (leftovers) into the BBC Food website and it will come up with suggested recipes

It came up with these ideas for the chicken and creme fraiche

The top two look promising

Theres a man on ITV This Morning who has done a DIY sex change operation on himself ,

what can he do with the leftovers ?

When you say a man, do you mean "he" was a she, or "she" is now a he?

Cos it makes all the different between sausages and pancakes.

Quick and easy one.

Ingredients:

Pasta

garlic

chilli

olive oil

Put the pasta on to boil. Cut the garlic and chilli and put into a pan/pot with a good bit of olive oil and simmer at a low heat for a couple of minutes until you see the chilli and garlic starting to cook then take off the heat. Drain the pasta and mix the two together.

Add cheese if desired.

home made pizza for dinner tonight. Some chicken tikka topping, maybe some sweetcorn (not sure if there's any left in the freezer). Delish.

edit: Yes there is still some sweetcorn left. Some parma ham on there too.Very garlic-y garlic bread as well.
