AoWW Posted 20 February 2010 Posted 20 February 2010 Ok, I'm having a bit of a Ready, Steady, Cook moment resulting from the amount of stuff in my fridge that needs using up. And, erm, I'm not exactly known for my culinary ability which is where, hopefully, some of you can give some suggestions. I've got to use up: chicken breasts (defrosted already, can't refreeze), creme fraiche, and fresh chicken stock. Oh, and some parsley that's rapidly wilting. I've also got lots of fresh grapes, if I can somehow incorporate them. I was thinking along the lines of frying up some onion with the diced chicken, adding seasoning and some garlic, (and maybe some toasted pine nuts?) then adding the chicken stock with some white wine and letting it reduce down. Finally stirring through the creme fraiche, parsley and halved grapes. Thoughts? Other suggestions?
z-layrex Posted 20 February 2010 Posted 20 February 2010 Ive been attempting to make my first steak & ale pie from scratch because the lurpack ad told me to. Ive finally just applied the pastry, and it kind of just fell into the meat, oh well! Hopefully will turn out ok...

When you say a man, do you mean "he" was a she, or "she" is now a he? Cos it makes all the different between sausages and pancakes.

FoxyPV Posted 13 October 2010 Posted 13 October 2010 Quick and easy one. Ingredients: Pasta garlic chilli olive oil Put the pasta on to boil. Cut the garlic and chilli and put into a pan/pot with a good bit of olive oil and simmer at a low heat for a couple of minutes until you see the chilli and garlic starting to cook then take off the heat. Drain the pasta and mix the two together. Add cheese if desired.
