Agreed, in January we could do with addressing the situation. Obviously it would be ill-advised to buy someone purely because we need a captain, but like you I don't see anyone ready in this squad to galvanise the team on the pitch like a captain should.

Agreed. He's always encouraging both the young players and the regulars and applauding every good move whether it succeeds or not. I can only assume that he's not being made captain due to the fact that he may not be in the long term plans?
