Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Bonkers. Didn't expect that one. If passed on in full by my mortgage lender (which it won't be) I might even notice
hairy Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Bonkers. Didn't expect that one. If passed on in full by my mortgage lender (which it won't be) I might even notice Lloyds TSB said they will pass the full cut on
Monk Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Lloyds could be BIG winners out of the credit crunch if they play their cards right. Their brand hasn't been too tarnished so far, and they did well to avoid being pushed into buying Bradford & Bingley by the government. Banco Santander are doing very nicely indeed out of all of this.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Lloyds TSB said they will pass the full cut on I'm with the Nationwide, who seem to operate the more conventional slash-savings-rates-by-the-full-amount-instantly-and-begrudgingly-pass-on-part-of-the-cut-to-borrowers-after-they've-thought-about-it-over-the-course-of-a-few-nights-out-and-a-nice-holiday-method

My debit card is a VISA rather than a crappy Maestro one, and I can use that and my Credit Card abroad for free. Plus there's a right fitty who works in the High Holborn branch just around the corner from work.

It's the least they could do after being unable to me offer me a decent deal after the last one expired, and the girl that took me through it was ALRIGHT but not worth telling the internet about

You're not having her, she's my banking fitty.
Phube Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Danm me and my Fixed rate of 4.89% I can stop being smug now!!!

A temporary secondment then, if you're going to get all possessive. Stop hogging all the attractive financial services staff in the South East. Curse this regional divide

Stop hogging all the attractive financial services staff in the South East. Curse this regional divide I think you should stop being so lazy and come to Holborn for all your banking needs I can see we're not going to come to an agreement at this rate...

Have they got a fish tank? There was a fish tank at the old Leicester building society I used to go in when I was little. If they've got one of those in Holborn, it's a deal. See, everyone's forgotten out the credit crunch now. They're all thinking about attractive bank staff in crisp uniforms and relaxing tropical aquaria. My work here is done
Zingari Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 i ain't got no money and i don't owe nowt ,( apart from a tenner i borrowed from a mate last night , but i'm hoping he'll forget about coz he was more pished than me ) how does it affect me ?
Daggers Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 If my mortgage doesn't get drastically reduced on the back of a one and a half point cut in rates then I'm going to be pissing through the letterbox of our local A&L

Please go on....
Steven Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 So who's to blame? That nice Mr. Blair and that nice Mr. Brown. <_<
Zingari Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 That nice Mr. Blair and that nice Mr. Brown. <_< what about the rest of the world ?
Steven Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 what about the rest of the world ? If the rest of the world put it's head in a gas oven does that mean we have to as well?
Daggers Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 If the rest of the world put it's head in a gas oven does that mean we have to as well? That doesn't make any sense.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 That doesn't make any sense. It would be a waste of time since we switched from town gas to North Sea gas anyway

It would be a waste of time since we switched from town gas to North Sea gas anyway it'd be a waste of time in our house too, due to our house being all electric and my oven being on the blink, and me waiting 2 months for a replacement.
Webbo Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 it'd be a waste of time in our house too, due to our house being all electric and my oven being on the blink, and me waiting 2 months for a replacement. Could you stick your head in the microwave instead?
stez Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Could you stick your head in the microwave instead? i could do, but it doesn't come on until the door's closed. hopefully all this means i'm going to be immune from the worst affects of the credit ctunch, seeing as i don't own my house, have minimal savings and my cooker doesnt work!
