However, people have got to accept that we're not going to win every game. If at the season someone offered me 2nd in the league after 16 games, I'm sure pretty much everybody would've taken it.

Oh yes, I know that, it's more frustrating though when you throw away good positions. If it had been 0-0 I wouldn't be so frustrated. And I would take our position now if it had been offered on August 8th. We are in a strong position, we just need to step it up a bit and see out winning positions

Whilst I am most definitely not calling for Pearson to go, I think we are entitled to ask some pretty pointed questions. Putting aside all of the 'it's a tough league to get out of' and the 'you can't win every game' bollox, the reality is that we are the 'big club' in this league, financially stable, large fan base, powerful squad etc, etc. Had we taken the 6 points already won at Swindon and Brighton, had we turned a couple of recent 0-0's against poor opposition into wins we would be out of sight at the top of this league. This is not a 'might have been' but most definitely a 'should have been 'situation, and I feel that we have every right to ask of our management team why we have not been putting away opposition who are clearly not in our class. OK, I realise that we are second in the league, but realistically, given our resources that is nowhere near good enough!
