People whining about that is even more annoying.

Quite possibly, but my annoyance isn't really with the Brits moaning about a bit of snow (regardless of how ridiculous it is)... I'm more likely venting over the fact there's not enough for me to enjoy now. :)

I had to turn the radio off in my car the other morning because the presenter started making the "everything grinds to a halt after one flake of snow in the UK" joke. I mean ffs, this is the 3rd straight year we've had snow, all those jokes have been said over and over again and besides, it's not exactly difficult to see why countries which get a lot of snow are better than us at dealing with snow. I'd like to see Northern Australia deal with 2 degrees and drizzle. The kind of thing that we brush off as if it's nothing would actually kill people in someplace where they are prepared for it. We're not prepared for snow. Why? Because nobody is going to go to the expense of fitting snow tyres and shit when it probably won't even snow. Simple. Now pls stfu.

What I don't understand the pitches at St Margarets Pastures have been closed all week. Therefore, they must have lost quite a bit of money. Why haven't they got somebody to clear the snow off the pitch? Yes the pitches will still be frozen underneath but at least getting some direct sun light on it will help.

I'm susposed to be playing hockey at St Margarets tommorow, will be really cheesed if our match is called off the 2nd week running. Snow is mean.

The pitches at the Lutterworth Soccer Centre have been fine all week. As soon as you shovel or brush the majority of it to the sides, or off the pitch, it disappears pretty quickly as soon as you start playing.
