Ric Flair Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 15 in a tube at £3.91 so about £8 a month. Not that bad to make you feel perky. I'm a fully fledged member now.

The People's Hero Posted 14 January 2009 Author Posted 14 January 2009 Why not buy exactly the same things at about £2 less? That's £4 a month. Because Berocca have good adverts and if people stop buying them... well. You get the picture.
coale39 Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 Because Berocca have good adverts and if people stop buying them... well. You get the picture. The world ends?
The People's Hero Posted 14 January 2009 Author Posted 14 January 2009 The world ends? Basically, yeah. I should probably reply to your PM. How incredibly rude of me.
coale39 Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 Basically, yeah.I should probably reply to your PM. How incredibly rude of me. Nah dont bother, ive had the tele interview. You gave me loads of stuff anyway, thanks. There gonna 'let me know'. Hardly ever successful when they say that. Back to Bioshock now I think. Nearly completed it now, how employable am I?! (Rhetorical.).
Uncle Monty Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 "Where do we get these Placebos???" "There in here" "I'm Cured.......... i mean owww!"
Matt Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 Do they really work as a hangover cure as i've been told? Take 1 before drinking, and 1 the morning after or something like that?
The People's Hero Posted 15 January 2009 Author Posted 15 January 2009 Do they really work as a hangover cure as i've been told? Take 1 before drinking, and 1 the morning after or something like that? Not specifically, but it can't hurt.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Not specifically, but it can't hurt. It's really just a differet way of taking vitamins
NewquayFox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I have been using Berocca for a few years now and its a great product, the orange wee side effect is good as well because if you forget to take it in the morning your wee lets you know. Also dont make the mistake i have a few times and drop your Cod liver oil capsule in the water and pop the Berocca in your mouth, what a buzz and your tongue is orange for a while, not recomended.
The People's Hero Posted 22 January 2009 Author Posted 22 January 2009 I continue to swear by these. Absolutely brilliant.
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2009 Posted 28 January 2009 I just drink OJ every day. Tasty as fook and I'm rarely ill.
Guest Posted 28 January 2009 Posted 28 January 2009 I just drink OJ every day.Tasty as fook and I'm rarely ill. I started on this, and within days get a kidney infection. Case closed. <_<
cisono Posted 28 January 2009 Posted 28 January 2009 This is the reason that I am trying them out. I am sick to death of colds.Someone at work swears by some vitamin C/probiotic sachets, but they make Berocca look like penny sweets in comparison, and I am very tight. Indeed. Both vitamin C and proper probiotics (not just yoghurt or low-quality capsules) are great to avoid colds (what are they? ). There are also loads of other things people can do to avoid colds (I will stop short of suggesting avoiding alcohol ehmm). I would not buy Berocca myself, mainly due to the artificial sweeteners (aspartame, acesulfame K) which I avoid like the plague. Not only have they (particularly aspartame) been linked to weight increases, but also with serious health problems including brain tumours. It is the vitamin B complex contained in Berocca that causes the yellow colouring in urine. Nothing to worry about though.
ozleicester Posted 29 January 2009 Posted 29 January 2009 Berrocca is considered good for hangovers...in truth its more liekly the extra fluids that help. If you have sore joints (be kind to your knees, you'll mis them when there gone)...the best thing ever... Flaxseed (organic where possible) ...has reduced my, painfull, post 5 a side, old man knees....to.... much less painfull, post 5 a side middle aged man knees. Thank you flaxseed

Apparantly masturbation cuts your cancer risk but also increases it. Maybe if I crack off I'll stay happily in the middle.

James. Posted 29 January 2009 Posted 29 January 2009 There is MUCH more research on the aspartame risks Yes and much of that research concludes that there is no statistical link between aspartame consumption and increased risk of brain tumours. Maybe if you drank 300 cans of diet coke and ate 2,000 packets of Smint a day you might be at risk. Indeed anything that claims to be sugar free more often than not contains aspartame. Having a Berocca though isn't going to do any harm. Too much scaremongering out there and not enough common sense.

I'm sure Ric Flair's done that before.

Hoo-bloody-ray. Well said, fella. I doubt if I'll live till I'm old anyway.

Not only have they (particularly aspartame) been linked to weight increases, but also with serious health problems including brain tumours. These artificial things put in food are put there cos certain high powered people (who own the companies that make them) want us dead before we get to pension age. They don't want to look after us when we are old (hence old people freezing to death often etc). They just want us here while we are workers. The best bet is eat natural. A 1cm cube of ginger after your tea can do wonders. Just look at a Lion for instance (or all animals that eat natural). They drink water only and eat all nature foods and they are fine specimens of strength and vitality. The only animals that are not fine specimens are humans (and animals that get fed crap by humans). And that's cos we get too much shite put in our feed.

Talking of common sense, how did you draw the conclusion about the lack of statistical link? Also beware of aspartame producers-sponsored "research". Common sense is that all this artificial rubbish is best avoided. And aspartame (and other sweeteners) are now present in many products where you would not expect to find them, like tinned beans or similar (not just in diet sodas, sweets etc).
