Daggers Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 I will not be wearing colours - I don't think it ever helps your case when trying to get into pubs. Especially when already pissed.

BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 We've got one seat in our car, but you wouldn't be a loner - you'd be sitting with two kids, only one of whom is coming to the game. There's a real danger you'd get talked to about Hannah Montana and High School Musical. If that's a price worth paying, we could sort something... PM me if you're interested. I had to do that once. I had to talk about The Incredibles and The Hoobs for 45 minutes! It weren't to bad cos I love The Hoobs

BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 You need to go from Kings Cross St Pancras to London Bridge to get to South Bermondsey. There's a Spoons on Tower Bridge a short walk from London Bridge train station. I don't think people are recommending going to any pubs around South Bermondsey and I think we'll get taken over by police when we get there anyway. Yes, my plan is to drink around London Bridge and go straight to the ground when I get to South B. Can't go Kings Cross, me Mrs uses a wheelchair cos she got Arthritis and last time we went Kings Cross I had to carry her down the stairs (no lifts). But Kokopops has sorted me out with info for a bus to London Bridge so will probably head for Spoons. Does anyone know if you can buy beer in the ground? I've heard no

BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 I have cakes! The 8.57 train will involve cakes! I've got Cheese, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Cucumber and Mayo cobs! Real good mature cheddar. Bit gay to take your own cobs at my age but trains cost us 90quid so other money's for beer
BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 Wetherspoons London Bridge only has Freeview as does Tower Hill. You may need to cast your net wider if watching the footy is important to you. I can imagine that both of the above are going to be heaving, not my cup of tea at all...I like to get served in a pub. I'm gonna have a look in the door and if it's rammed will go and find a back-street local with a spare seat I don't know if people are aware but your all day, all zones tube passes allow you to use the overland trains around London also. Might save you a little bit of money! How much is one of them passes?

leftsideoverhere Posted 13 March 2009 Share Posted 13 March 2009 Looks like we're picking Ian C up and subjecting him to an in-depth discussion of Ben 10 and Hannah Montana on the way. Poor bastard. We should be in London for lunch. Anyone know if the London Bridge spoons will let a ten year old in? He's buying!
