LcFcDEC Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 Sorry if it has already been mentioned but have we got a chance of signing him permanetly? He is so much better than Martin!
davieG Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 Sorry if it has already been mentioned but have we got a chance of signing him permanetly? He is so much better than Martin! Hmm have you seen him play?
DB11 Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 I think the deal is with an option to make permanent at end of season?? Or is that just Wayne Brown?
Samilktray Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 From what I've seen of Martin hes solid, cant see the problem with him.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 From what I've seen of Martin hes solid, cant see the problem with him. Spot on. I rate Martin.
AMYB101_LCFC Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 I like Martin but Bunn was really good today, he saved the penalty really well. It would be good if we could have him for longer than a month!
Wezleylowski Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 Sorry if it has already been mentioned but have we got a chance of signing him permanetly? He is so much better than Martin! Not a prayer unfortunately.
Benji Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 He seems to have really wound up the bristol fans today, and had a cheeky word with Lambert before the penalty

dandannieldanok Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 Hmm have you seen him play? My thoughts aswell, suddenly one penalty save has made him a world-beater in the eyes of some.
Daggers Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 have we got a chance of signing him permanetly? Absolutely none. Happiness is a warm Bunn Niiice
LcFcDEC Posted 21 February 2009 Author Posted 21 February 2009 Hmm have you seen him play? yer i have seen him play! i watched him at hartepool and he put in a good solid performance then.
davieG Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 yer i have seen him play! i watched him at hartepool and he put in a good solid performance then. Oh so once then!
Thracian Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 His penalty save was one of the the biggest single reasons why we won today, that's for sure.
maddog Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 I dont rate Martin for the Championship. But it will be tough to sign a better option permenantly. Unless Pearson can pull off an incredible signing or maybe a season long loan for Bunn we will probably end up with Martin. What i dont like is when he first came here he said he wanted to force himself into liverpool side. Now hes been told Liverpool wont be offering him a new deal, and dont want him, he suddenly wants to stay with us. He clearly wanted to be on the bench for Liverpool reserves before instead of playing for Leicester, So i dont really want him
Hitesh Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 True, he did well saving the penalty but just because he has done so in one game doesn't mean we should buy him. The same would go if a player scored a winning goal, you wouldn't sign him up would you! This guy is only here as cover for Martin and once he is back or when the month is over I cant see it being anything more so he will return. I bet if the guy makes a mistake in the next game, the same people will say that we should let him go back to Blackburn!

Whether or not we've any chance of signing Bunn I don't know but I've no doubts whatsoever that he's a capable and focused goalkeeper. Fez spoke highly of him before his debut here and nothing I've seen in two matches so far would lead me to doubt that view.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure he is a good keeper and has the potential and I hope we continues playing well. I just don't understand how carried away some people get and it gets very annoying sometimes!

I just don't understand how carried away some people get and it gets very annoying sometimes! Sometimes a goalkeeper turns up like that Scandinavian we signed in the Kaebi days and you know from the first time you set eyes on him that he's flawed, that he'll be nothing but a liability in English football. Other times a guy turns up and fits in like he's been around for years. Bunn was just like that. Even the way he went about his work in the pre-match warm up at Hartlepool set him apart as a quality keeper. He conceded two goals that night. But he still showed himself to be agile, aware, alert, confident, quick to see a throw out...so many things way on top of simply having good hands and good reactions. But most of all he looked like he belonged. He didn't look like a guy who was nervous about being there. He looked like a guy instantly involved in helping us win promotion. A bloke strong enough to be instantly involved in geeing up the team-mates around him.

Very capable debut but I have every faith in Martin as well (only on goals conceded)
