Stocky-d 6 - Rarely troubled.

Gilbert 7 - Supported the attack really well, solid defending too.

Mattock 6 - His final ball has been so poor of late, when normally it's decent. Defended well.

Hobbs 7 - Solid.

Morrison 7 - Solid.

Cleverley 7 - Performed very well, great energy and enthusiasm, cracking knock for Howards goal, scored a good little solo goal too, although it should've been 2 goals for him today.

Gradel 7.5 - Much better than Dyer, Always looked dangerous when he had the ball, wasn't half as predictable as Dyer is. Their fullback will be glad to get home.

Oakley 8 - Ran the game. Sprayed some lovely balls around the park and scored a lovely goal to cap it off.

King 7 - Always there as an option, and gave a very steady performance. He's our Michael Carrick, although he should've passed to Oakley who was in a better position when he greedily shot.

Howard 8 - Won pretty much everything in the air, finally scored again at home with a bullet header, an assist for Fryatt too.

Fryatt 7.5 - Scored with a great finish, latched on to most of Howard knock downs, and put in a tireless performance.

Hammond - turned Oakley once and Hobbs once but was bollocks after that.

Low - was made to look incompetent in midfield by the plastic bag floating around.

Cheltenham fans - 10 Relegation fodder, being stuffed and yet they are still the nicest group we've met this season with the best sense of humour.

Atmosphere - 10 Apart from the start of the second half K-block and then L-block was excellent fun.

Motorbike - 10 Nothing broke or fell off.

JoeB - 10 Helped me skip a mighty queue.

D. Stockdale - 7 - Not troubled much, but on a couple of ocassions when troubled, did well. Settled into the game well after a few poor kick's.

K. Gilbert - 7 - Steady, supprted the attack well and defended better than in recent weeks.

J. Hobbs - 7- Played well, he and Morisson were quality and should of scored.

M. Morrison - 7 - Played well and his distribution was again good.

J. Mattock - 7 - Steady game, supported the attack and helped the defence. Could of been on the scoresheet.

T. Cleverly - 9 - Brilliant. Man of the match for me. Can tell why he is at Old Trafford. His interchange with the midfield, his distribution and his goal were all class.

M. Oakley - 9 - Played well. Again, his passing and interchange was of a top quality. As well as the goal.

A. King - 7 -Did not offer much but his passing was ok.

M. Gradel - 7 - Played well, not as good as every one is making out, but did well as Dyer started on the bench. Attacked the full back constantly. Like to see how he does against Millwall.

M. Fryatt - 8 - Movement was top noch. Goal was good.

S. Howard - 8 - Played well, a great target today. Goal was good and he and Fryatt linked up well.

B. Hayles - 6 - Did not offer much. Not an ideal target man.

B. Berner - 7 - Sat in well, passing was good.

C. Powell - N/A - Did well for the closing stages.

Stockdale 6

Gilbert 7 (Linked up well with Cleverley, supportive in attack)

Hobbs and Morrison 7 (Mopped most dangers up without trouble)

Mattock 6.5 (Solid in defence, didn't really need to support Gradel)

Cleverley 7.5 (Best I've seen from him, composed on the ball and took advantage of some dreadful defending)

King 6 (Didn't need to do much, kept it simple)

Oakley 8 (Inventive passes, made decent runs and got a deserved goal)

Gradel 7 (Decent, a bit predictable but went past players and caused problems)

Howard 7 (Scored one and set one up)

Fryatt 7 (Tidy finish, worked hard)

Subs 5 (No-one made an impact, none of them needed to tbh)

Josh Low 1 :crylaugh: (Still an appalling player, how he's managed to say at this level is beyond me)

Stockdale - 7: Nothing much to do, but there when needed, although Hammonds turn and shot in the first half, was straight at him. (Hammond never got a shot on target like that for us :giggle:

Gilbert - 7: Decent enough, bit hit and miss with distribution and crosses, but when he hits its effective, solid defending, but Cheltenham were the worst team we've played this season.

Morison - 8: Quite simply lovely, so many solid headers, he reminded me of Tuchev today.

Hobbs - 7: Decent enough, solid.

Mattock - 7: Some nice play, but i just don't rate him that much, hes no better than he was a couple of seasons ago when he first started, hopefully he will improve next season.

Cleverley - 8: The wingers made the difference, flair, pace, skill and speed, which Dyer has been severely lacking on the wing recently and Oakleys simply NOT a winger.

Oakley - 8: Lovely jubbly, no shoddy mistakes/awful passes as far as i can remember, and a very classy goal. Hes NOT a winger, leave him in the middle.

King - 7: Solid when needed. Didn't seem as involved today as usual though.

Gradel - 9: Delicious. It sounds so simple, just run down the wing with the ball and cross it, but its not in pro football, and he did it so well. Easily as good as Dyer was early on in the season, Dyer won't be back in the team if Gradel and Cleverly play like that.

Fryatt - 7: Solid enough, but not as good as a certain shit donkey :P:D:P

Howard - 9: It was the best home performance Howard has ever given IMO, no lazy awful passes today, won most of his headers, had a nice turn and shot 1st half, and well he scored a fooking header!!! The first header ive seen him score at the Walkers in ages, maybe even EVER.

Hayles - 6: Tried his best, ran about a bit, but the win was already in the bag so he wasn't as effective as he normally is when we are drawing.

Berner - 5: A disappointing game for him, normally so commanding in midfield, he was poor on Tuesday too.

Powell - NOT ON LONG ENOUGH

Pearson: 8 superb decision finally dropping Dyer and starting Gradel, and also Cleverly starting. Fair subs at decent times too, well done, and he gave us a wave :P

The Fans: 8 One of the best atmospheres in the KOP this season.

4-0 lovely jubbly :scarf:

Stockdale 6- Didnt have much to do but what he did he did very well, kicking was good.

Gilbert 7- Good going forward that shot he had made me laugh and good defensively.

Hobbs 7- Solid, unlucky with his header.

Morrison 7- Solid, bit shaky at times but thats inexperience.

Mattock 7- Good going forward and good defensively

Cleverley 8- Awesome today, good interchanging and fantastic solo run for his goal, not a bad cross for Howard either.

King 7- Amazing how composed he is for a 20 year old, great again today, should have past to Oakley but was greedy, does that really matter though?

Oakley 9- MOTM. Absolutely brilliant today great passing good runs and a good goal to cap it off, Awesome.

Gradel 7- I'd take him over Dyer atm he was good today, love his skills and his boots!

Howard 8- Great today, good header as maddog said thats the first heafer he's scored at home, it wasnt rally hard to miss though was it.

Fryatt 7- Good to see him back scoring again, great finish!

SUBS

Hayles 6- Wasnt as effective as he would have been if we were drawing but still unlucky not to score as he tried to take it off the keeper.

Berner 5- Wasnt that good for me but hey the game was already over soo.

Powell- NOT ON LONG ENOUGH + LEFT BEFORE HE CAME ON.

Hammond 6- was ok actually good at turning.

Low 3- oh dear, made me laugh some people started clapping him cus he used to play for us when he came over to take a corner.

Good idea to bring Gradel in by Pearson and a great win, surely the titles in the bag!

Stockdale 6.5 (Clean sheet and no great apprehension about him in any phase. Had very little to do)

Gilbert 6.75 (Looked keen and eager. Just the odd mistake which might have cost us).

Morrison 6.75 (Solid and largely untroubled)

Hobbs 7.25 (Good game. Tried to pass the ball simply as the game went on and this needs to be his focus if he really to progress. With others, he pushed up far better and more consistenly today and might have had a goal with a header that shaved the crossbar).

Mattock 6.25 (Steady game)

Cleverley 8.5 (With Gradel, injected so much of the energy and movement we've been missing lately. Clever goal, almost an identical one minutes earlier, played a part in two of our other goals and in the own goal that was mysteriously disallowed. As at Walsall, looked far happier on the right wing).

Oakley 8 (Excellent goal from a good move and complimented King wonderfully in midfield by playing some part in so many attacks)

King 7.5 (Excellent in his familiar fulcrum role. Played a part in Oakley's goal with his crafty dummy. Benefitted hugely from having runners all around him making passing opportunities and having more people passing the ball through him. Got forward in support more than recently too because of he had justified confidence that someone would cover but the main thing was how accurately and quiickly he distributed the ball in all directions. Oakley was another who used one touch so often.).

Gradel 7.5 (Minor part in the first goal. Presented a threat on so many occasions when he got the ball and was forever making space to receive the ball with his abundant energy and enthusiasm. Two of his early low crosses across their goalmouth should have produced goals but the big thing was he had to be marked and, with Cleverley, he maintained our width so that we had far better passing opportunities than of late and created far more chances. Fed Cleverley before the eventually disallowed own goal and almost made a near post headed goal for King from a corner which grazed his head.)

Fryatt 7.5 (Strikers are paid to score and he got his 28th, an excellent goal from a Howard assist. Worked hard throughout and only fltered, as usual, when making the choice between whether to pasor go it alone.

Howard 8 (Excellent headed goal from Cleverley's cross then set up Fryatt's goal. Exactly what you want from a striker).

Subs:

Hayles and Berner (The less said the better. Suddenly our play became shabby. I didn't disagree with Pearson's decision to make substitutions but we had no need to use an off-key striker or an inconsequential midfielder. We needed people like Porter on the bench who could maintain the pass and move football which was allowing us to dominate the game so much.

Hayles had one great chance to volley a goal but didn't even deliver the shot and another chance to play a deft pass which he fluffed. I'd much sooner have seen Chambers and Porter had been available to come on to allow us to keep the ball moving swiftly and accurately).

Powell (fine but no mark cos not on long enough)

Linesman (you know which one)...0. Offside for the own goal? And did he spin a coin for the corners. Should go into the theatre. There's always a demand for comedians.

Pearson 7.75 (Spot on with everything apart from his substitutions and continued failure to involve Porter who would have complimented today's team far better than the people he did use as replacements. Ticked most of the boxes I said have been missing recently by injecting pace, movement, energy, proper support and the moving of the ball through midfield).

I don't think King was being greedy at all. He was taking responsibility.

King is the least greedy of players.

He was inside the box, centrally placed and I believe the little bit of uncertainty about whether to pass or shoot possibly cost him. But he elected to take responsibility and it didn't come off.

Hayles opted out from a shooting chance from similar distance, chose to pass wide instead and that chance was lost completely.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if players are in the box I'd not blame them for shooting instead of passing the buck even if I do agree that, in this instance, the chance of scoring through Oakley might have been greater.

Stockdale 7 - Didn't have much to do but what he did he did very well, including distribution from the back and not just long kicks. It's a joy to have a keeper who does that again.

Gilbert 6 - None of the defence had much to do, but they were OK. That shot, hahaha. Just 'cos he scored on Tuesday!

Hobbs 7 - Unlucky not to score, and was in total control.

Morrison 6 - OK, but wasn't really under pressure.

Mattock 6 - Seemed to enjoy overlap with Max. A few more games and the left will be a fun place to be, I think.

Cleverley 8 - Good running, good goal, but should have passed to Gradel instead of scuffing his earlier chance wide.

King 7 - Another very impressive performance, but quiet in comparison to the rest of midfield.

Oakley 9 - Well deserved goal, and true captain's performance.

Gradel 8 - Just delightful. Mazey runs, beat players going inside and outside, and posed such a threat Cheltenham didn't know whether to mark him close or deep. Every time he got the ball something happened.

Howard 8 - Very impressive and commanding performance. Good header.

Fryatt 7- Good goal, and did OK but was overshadowed a little by those around him today.

SUBS

Hayles 6 - Didn't add anything but the game was already over.

Berner 5 - Seems to be struggling a little at the moment.

Powell N/A - not sure he played the ball at all, but it was nice to see him get a run out at the end.

Pearson 9 - Got the team selections spot-on, and he 'sorted out' the linesman after we asked him to, and then gave us a cheeky wave afterwards. Went straight to Gradel after the game, too, which showed how much Max's performance meant.

Linesman at the kop end 0 - fooking awful. Offside on an own goal?

Crowd 8 - Best atmosphere for a long while, I think. Singing from the kick-off, "left side, right side / you only sing when we're winning" was a highlight, and we even managed an attempt or two on "when you're smiling".

Looking forward to Millwall, now...

Jack Hobbs - Great performance, he has been absolutely vital this year and has been our unsung hero.

Fully deserved the captaincy in the end.
