I want to agree. BUt after tonight, I'll be a little bit more cautious with how other results pan out.

Can see us struggling to hold on to the automatics.

What the 'boro chairman said has really got me worried now, I feel like I'm being chased by a hungry pack of tigers.

That's the one.

Honestly, one defeat and people start shaking like they're in a tower block in an earthquake. The unbeaten run couldn't last forever, Tranmere are a good side at home, and we've not suddenly become Cheltenham overnight. So we've got to play the chasing pack? Fine. We win and it ****s them. We've still got points in the bank, and they're all running out of games.

This is not the same City side as melted to shit so regularly last season. This term, we've tended to come back stronger after poor performances, and I'm expecting us to keep up to that tradition over the next couple of games.

I can see us fcuking this up like ala Newcastle"id love it if we beat em' type thing.

Good jobe we are almost unbeatable in the Play Offs!!

Good job we are MASSIVE...WEMBLEY HERE WE COME!!!! :scarf:

This.

We've recovered from well from defeats and setbacks earlier in the season and I expect this to continue. We aren't going to suddenly collapse, we didn't go 23 games unbeaten because we're a poor side.

And I couldn't care less who goes up with in second. So there! :P

Far better City sides than this one have rolled over and surrendered at Millwall (and indeed Peterborough).

Colchester will also fancy their chances of avoiding defeat at the way for the third season in a row.

The season could really go pear-shaped in the next few weeks.

As much as I dont want to agree, I do. Anything less than champions now would be very disappointing especially after being top and unbeaten for so long.

I have some mates coming to the Colchester game supporting them, i'll get so much grief from them if we end up losing <_<

We've got some tough away games of our own though.

Apart from obviously Millwall and Peterborough....don't overlook Hereford. Not been doing that badly recently...they've got that Man Utd youngster Brandy on loan and they will be fighting for every point. Can see them taking points off us.

We lost. 1 in 24. Come on guys its not the end of our promotion chances. We have points in the bag, MK and Posh have the earn theirs yet.

I have it worked out. 90 points will be enough and easily achieveable.

4 wins from 9......

P'boro 7 from 9 to get 90

8 from 12 Dons

8 from 11 Milwall.

Or 85....

2 wins and 1 draw from 9

P'boro 5 and a draw from 9

6 wins from 12 Dons

6 wins from 11 Millwall.

Personally I think it's 50/50 whether we finish top or not at the moment. We are really not playing well and the Cheltenham game can't disguise that. King and Oakley look lightweight in midfield, Cleverley has one good game in three, we miss Tunchev and Howard/Fryatt both look tired. We've rarely threatened to reach the same heights in our play since Davies left and last night we were outfought, which I haven't seen since the Millwall home game. The gap could be closed very quickly if we don't start performing again.

Having said all that, it's not the end of the world. Going back to that S****horpe away game, we went top that day and things were looking tight. Our unbeaten run has put us where we are but now that's over, it's back to scrapping to keep ahead of the pack. It's far more likely to be closer than this towards the end of the season than it is for us to extend our lead. We've only got ourselves to blame, because all those drawn home games before Cheltenham meant that we would inevitably find ourselves in this position - the same problem we had last year, if you don't beat the poor teams at home (i.e. drawing against Colchester towards the end of last season) then you have to go and win somewhere like Stoke. Those drawn home games mean we need to pull it out of the bag somewhere like Millwall or Peterborough. Oakley talked before the MK Dons game about promotion being close and now they've got to prove why.

I agree, the Milwall game is of utter importance if we want to win the league, if we can get a draw, it will be a point well gained!!
