Sooper Steve's shin Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 Hi Im coming over from Malaga for the last home game of the seasonand i was wondering where i should i buy a ticket for where is the best part of the ground for atmosphere singing and that cheers Cue cynics - there is no atmosphere at the Walkers, blah blah. Last home game of the season should be reasonably noisy if we haven't blown up completely by then. Generally the South Stand (SK1 to SK4) or East (Alliance & Leiester) Stand are the most atmospheric - this avoids the more corporate (West Stand) and family-oriented areas (North Stand). This thread will doubtless descend into "my block's better than yours" territory, but I would probably just get on and buy your ticket now. I imagine people will be anticipating a promotion party and so, as I said, it should be reasonably bouncy in most places. A problem at the Walkers is the acoustics are not fantastic, so from the South Stand it's difficult to hear the away fans or far end of our East Stand. Some games where people have said they were noisy have not seemed all that great from where I was sitting. I have wondered if this could be resolved by microphones around the stadium? Do many other grounds suffer from this?
JakeShingler Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 will the atmosphere be like this these pics are from malaga last week Malaga - sevilla and you can see our england flag aswell Much better than that.
StanSP Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 will the atmosphere be like this these pics are from malaga last week Malaga - sevilla and you can see our england flag aswell Walkers is so much better
Munzie Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 If we get a free scarf each (handed out before the game) it will be loads better than the twenty or so in them pictures
davieG Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 will the atmosphere be like this these pics are from malaga last week Malaga - sevilla and you can see our england flag aswell Looks good but I can't hear a fooking thing, perhaps it's the layout of the stadium
lcfcadam Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 No need for any debate here - just get yourself a ticket as high up in K1 as possible...
Babylon Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 It will be like a morgue when we realise we have dropped into the play offs on the last day of the season. Reality will set in and we'll then lose to dirty Leeds in the play offs.

Babylon Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 If I weren't off the ale, I might have actually found it quite amusing!!!! I like to think worst case... that way even if we finish second it's better than I thought.

Jimmy Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 so our last home game of the season, is upon us, it will be the Friday night due to the egg-chasers needing to borrow our ground due to theirs being shit, should be a party atmosphere but don't expect Pearson to let them go out there care free, hopefully the trophy will be presented before the game too seeing as we can now blood a few youngsters, the team I would like to see played is Pentney Cox Kisnorbo Brown PowellGradel King Ajdarevic PssshChambers HowardSubs Stockdale, Hobbs, Kee, Fryatt, Oakley we have 2 games to go and Kisnorbo & Brown both need to play them to meet the minimum 10 games to get a winners medal for the League win, Cox is supposed to be a decent prospect so give him a run out, Ajdarevic is playing for a deal in the summer so lets see what he can do, Psssh and Chambers just both need to be reminded where the Walkers Stadium is... Billy Kee is meant to be a good striker so give him 20 mins or so from the bench for each of the last 2 games
