I Know There's A Mathmatical Thread

We can get promoted against Leeds!

We could get promoted against Hereford :D As our goal difference is mammoth compared to Millwalls.

But as that technically won't be mathimatically guaranteed, as millwall could win a few games 10-0 :P, looks like it will be Leeds.

And what a day that could be.

I rekon we will get 28000 for the leeds game too.

Same here,

they'll probly play 'Simply The Best' and 'We Are The Champions at a 1000 decibels to drown out are celebrations!

What happened to Chelsea Dagger?!

You'll be promoted when we beat Millwall later on in the evening.

I'd rather we beat Leeds and get promoted by our own results, and then Millwall beat you thus getting us on our even more towards winning the league.

I too am very scared of what embarrasing shite the club would come up with blarred over the Pa system and a pitch invasion would be asking a lot especially with the police overkill and the fact only L1 would really lead it.

Southend away please.

You want me to book 2 rooms @ £59 a pop?

Its a shame that Leeds is an early kick-off, and we never win them >_<

Would rather seal it Southend, but I aint going to complain if we do seal it against Leeds.

To be guaranteed 'officially' though not taking into account goal difference we will have to beat Carlisle and Hereford.

Millwall would have to drop 4 points in their next 2 games. (Although in theory 3 due to goal difference but again that won't be official promotion)

Mk Dons would have to drop 3 points in their next 3 games. (Although in theory 2 due to goal difference but again that won't be official promotion, and Mk Dons's GD is much closer to ours than Millwalls)

Leeds would have to drop 2 points in their next 3 games. (Again the goal difference theory could make it 1 )

And even Scunny would have to drop 1 point in their next 3 games (Again )

So in summary for official promotion in the Hereford game this MUST happen:

We MUST beat Hereford and Carlisle.

Millwall MUST drop 4 points in their next 2 games Walsall (h), Yeovil (a)

Mk Dons MUST drop 3 points in their next 3 games. Brighton (h), Southend (a), Bristol Rovers (h)

Leeds MUST drop 2 points in their next 3 games. Colchester (a), Orient (a), Stockport (h)

Scunny MUST drop 1 point in their next 3 games Huddersfield (h), Hartlepool (a), Mk Dons (h) :P

So very small chance of all that happening and therefore small chance of promotion in that game (IF you want official promotion), but there is much more chance of the (NON official goal difference promotion)

So it looks like it will be the Leeds game. And i have WAY too much time to do this

Nice one maddog.

Millwall's away form is completely different to their poor home form, so we are happy they are playing at home on Saturday vs Walsall.

Hows that one work then?

Hows that one work then?

Mathematics eh! My lad spent three hours backing two of the three columns at roulette and insisting he had a 66% chance of winning. But he didn't win!

Scun*horpe's fixtures are:

Friday 10th April (H) v Huddersfield

Monday 13th April (A) v Hartlepool

Satuday 18th April (H) v MK Dont

They don't seem to be playing this week at all. They are going to end up with games in hand and two midweek games in the last two weeks of the season, but we've already seen how that can be a disadvantage.

But in terms of the 'getting promoted at Hereford' maths, it means they've only got one game before we play at Hereford on the 11th. So they have to not win that one, for the 'maddog accumulator' to fire, and Citeh to secure promotion at Edgar Street.

I doubt that very much. Hopefully I'm wrong but I just can't see that at this stage yet.
