Scow Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I don't know if this has been posted, but Grayson clearly thinks they were better than us yesterday.
Babylon Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 He's a Leeds fan.... what do you expect from those clowns?
Uncle Monty Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Absolute shit, they had a few chances but we had all the possession.
Babylon Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Were they fook. No they were (according to their fans)... Oh and none of our players would get in their starting 11. Absolute shit, they had a few chances but we had all the possession. That's what I thought... but the stats say 59% to Leeds 41% to Leicester
daveyboy Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 No they were (according to their fans)... Oh and none of our players would get in their starting 11. That's what I thought... but the stats say 59% to Leeds 41% to Leicester They definately did have more possesion, but we kept them at bay, getting them frustrated with few chances; we had way more shots (statistcally).
chrisfox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Only one stat that really matters though!! Leicester 1 - 0 Leeds
Corky Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 He was sound at us, but he's caught the Leeds disease. Delusion and arrogance, sadly. You weren't the better team Simon, your keeper kept you in it in the first half.
lefox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I remember telling him week in and week out he was wrong, and generally not fit to wear our shirt. My opinion of him hasn't ever changed, except after his header in the semi final.. He had what half a decent season in a Leicester shirt? If that? He's in League one poverty.. we won't be.
C-man Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 No they were (according to their fans)... Oh and none of our players would get in their starting 11. That's what I thought... but the stats say 59% to Leeds 41% to Leicester What can you expect when the ref gave 20 fouls against us and only 8 against them. We used whatever possession we had better than they did anyway. More shots on target, more shots on target, more corners. I know stats don't always give a fair reflection of a game, but were they fook better than us.
Bert Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I like Grayson. Not just because he was a legend when playing for us.... But, He's a very intelligent manager. Deep down, he knows that we were the better team, but his team have just lost a big game in the 92nd minute, and it's going to have hurt them. He's going to want to take as many positives out of this match as he can, and by saying that he thought they were the better team, will give a big boost to his players, staff and fans.
Corky Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 What can you expect when the ref gave 20 fouls against us and only 8 against them. There did seem to be quite a few more for them, several for nothing challenges and at least two when our player clearly won the ball.
lcfc_jme Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Larry is a hero but he's well wide of the mark this time. Chin up Larry, you salmon.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 SG must have gone to a different game than i did, i think deep down he is still a little pissed off that he did not get the city job and we could be in a different league to him next year.

lou Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I thought we were definately the better team and was surprised at the possession percentage but you can have all the possession in the world......... dont mean shit if you dont do anything with it.... and they didnt! All that matters is the result.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 The possession statistic surprises me. But then I guess it's what you do with the ball that counts. They were very slow, deliberate, dived at every opportunity, collapsed in a heap when it suited and had a huge reliance on set pieces from Snodlawn. Apart from him, they rarely threatened and it took that Delph 78 minutes for me to realise who he was. Gradel looked a far better prospect than he did. Methinks the touting up has gone to his head. Grayson should have been more gracious in defeat.
CosbehFox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 He looked gutted at the final whistle. Pearson goes to embrace him but he's ignored. Why is Grayson gutted? He got his tactics and team selection wrong. Leeds played for a draw after Delph's chance and relied most on set-pieces to create a chance. He risked Becchio and Snodgrass who were both ineffective and played Delph out of his position.
Koke Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I thought it was more or less even. We slightly edged it but on the day we weren't that superior to them, and I can understand Larry being disappointed in conceded a 92nd minute winner. He needs to remember though at Bellend Road his side got a 91st minute equalizer as well, so what goes around comes around, mate.

They seemed to accept a point after 75 minutes, we kept going right until the end.
Thracian Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 No they were (according to their fans)... Oh and none of our players would get in their starting 11. That's what I thought... but the stats say 59% to Leeds 41% to Leicester Possession can be deceptive. It can mean you took five passes when one wouild do the same job. And someone has mentioned the difference the free-kick ratio would make. Were that statistic the other way around - like it probably should have been - I'm sure we'd have had more touches. For me we had the most chances and the best indivduals but there's really only one stat that counts on this wondrous day .... Leicester City 1 Leeds 0. I'll repeat the last bit... Leeds nil. And if you don't score you'll never win.
