Matt Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Just saw abit of the coming up next on Sky Sports News and Milan will be on talking about promotion and the transfer budget. I will probably the same as what we have already heard but the pictures they shown were different to when he has spoke over the weekend so I guess it will be a different interview.

Fryatt isn't going then
Matt Posted 20 April 2009 Author Posted 20 April 2009 -All offers for Fryatt will be rejected. -He has spent around £10 Million this season to get us up. -He won't say a figure (Wise I think) for our transfer budget but he says we will have money to spend. -He says we have the abilty and can see us as a top 10 Premiership club.
AmericanScott Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 After the signings Pearson made this season, i'm sure he'll make some cracking signings with a tasty budget next season. August is too far away.
Carlos9 Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I cant wait for the transfer window. Mandy is talking about back to back promotion. With the squad we have at the miniute he is dreaming. So hopefully there will be some quallity signings/loanees.

Wise? He is a little shit figure.
Tilley Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Seriously, Milan needs to shut up. He is putting so much pressure on Pearson. If we landed a play-off finish, then Pearson will be a God, but I'm not expecting that. Anything more than a relegation battle is fine by me. Just want us to actually compete at this level. Top half finish would be fantastic.

maddog Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I would be happy with top six. I would be ok with mid-table, just depends how we played during the season and if the players showed a lot of effort and played really well. I would be slightly annoyed with bottom half/just avoiding relegation. I would be very fooked off if we went straight back down. I think an ambitious target should be top six, and we shouldn't bother thinking about anything better than a playoff place. Primary target has got to be comfortably survive relegation though.
C-man Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Just 'happy' with top 6? Living in a dream world maddog.
Brainy Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Feel free to put this in your sigs cus I have a silly feeling we'll be top six next season.
Porky Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Mid-table finish would do nicely for me. Then possibly try and go for it the season after. After all, anything would be an improvement from another relegation battle in the championship!
leicesterseddon Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 1st-6th - over the bloody moon 7th-12th - very happy indeed 13th-16th - mildly content 17th-21st - disappointed relegated - bloody p*ssed off

Asha Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Would be overjoyed with a top half finish, and I think we'll finish about 9th/10th I'll be content though whatever providing we don't go down.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 If someone has already put "this" to a post that you agree with too, can you then quote them and put "this"?
Durnerz Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Hmmmm. Seems a little far fetched. Maybe it just me.All this talk of back to back promotions though....I think weve all had too much beer this weekend!! Half of that money will have gone into the officials back pockets
Legend_in_blue Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Many fans said they would be content with a top six finish this season - and look what happened. Now people are wishing for a top half finish - and they'll be happy. I'm staying confident with a playoff spot for next season. Everyone will be gutted if we just miss out. You all know you would! We are the playoff specialists anyway and I need a trip to Wembley.
Daggers Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Isn't this a thread about the transfer budget? I'm pretty sure the thread for idiot predictions for league finishes is second down the corridor on the right.
Thracian Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I really don't give a shit how much he spends. I buy and sell every day of my working life and sometimes buy far better with a little cash than with a lot. What matters is the quality of players who do arrive and that will doubtless be down to the groundwork that's already been done. Spending big can mean you're a mug just as easy as a connoisseur. So far I've been encouraged by most of our signings. And even though I loathe the loan system at least the players we have borrowed under Pearson have had some positive impact. Whether Pearson spends £'s or millions I just want him to spend wisely and avoid all the nonsense that went on in the recent past when ridiculous salaries and equally ridiculous contracts were handed out to footballing no-hopers.
The Doctor Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Hmmmm. Seems a little far fetched. Maybe it just me.All this talk of back to back promotions though....I think weve all had too much beer this weekend!! i think its more likely that relegation meant he missed out on pocketing a substainsal amount of that £10m that playing in the championship would have brought.
