lookwhaticando Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 3-0 Win. Congrats to Berner, Dyer & Fryatt who all scored. Ace.
Brainy Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 How funny is geoff stelling on ssn .... usual quiet start by the sounds of us. Roth Raivers   Bruno the one you can't remember, possibly? - Not really a recognised goal scorer.Dyer certainly does exist, but hey. One more for Fryatt and you're looking good.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Great win to end a great season. Makes a change to relegate a team
Basingstoke Fox Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 It was hilairious about 8 minutes in when Hartelepool were 2 down and Carlisle were 1 up. He didnt know what to do!
20mj08 Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 good result. 1 season with some low points followed by lots of high points. 1 season is all it took and we all look forward to seeing the fixture list when it is released. champions 2008-09 leicester city ....bring on the championship. its been a pleasure
Rise Against Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Goodbye League 1, Hello Championship! Great win, we scored all of our goals on only 12 minutes.
Koke Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 No one in the league has a swagger like us, swagger like us, swagger swagger like us. I'm a bit gutted for Crewe really, because they are a good well run family club. I hope they bounce back again quickly.
Ultra Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 As so often this season, once we took the lead there was only going to be one winner. It sounds like yet another excellent awayday. Hope there will be more to come next season!
Anish Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 We were simply too good for this league. A cut above the rest. Never thought I'd say that about Leicester City!
leftsideoverhere Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 We were simply too good for this league. A cut above the rest. Never thought I'd say that about Leicester City! Another fantastic day out - friendly home fans, nice pubs, pleasant club. Everything about the day was perfect - again. A slow first half in which Crewe battled hard but didn't threaten, and we soaked it up as though it was a practice match. As so often this season we were a different class in the second half. As Crewe tired we went up a gear, and Dyer in particular was just too good for pretty much everyone else on the field. Lloyd sure loves a sunny day. Nice to meet some old and new FT faces. And to the 'lurker' women who we met back at the ground, I think it's time you said hello on here too! A perfect day topped off by timing our walk back to the car just in time to give NP a cheer as he drove out the ground. We got a big thumbs up from him for our trouble, or maybe just for our costumes. Nice touch. He is truly a God. In some ways I will miss away days in league one. But I can't wait for the championship season to start.
Brainy Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Just looked at the table, looks as if Gradel's injury time leveller at Stadium:MK really has cost MKD automatic promotion :D
purpleronnie Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 We were simply too good for this league. A cut above the rest. Never thought I'd say that about Leicester City! Even in division 3?

Fosse Boy Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 As much fun as it's been this season, I for one hope that we've played our last ever match in the third tier of English football.
MrSpaM Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Just got back from the match. Crewe looked to be trying really hard in the first half, and had a fair few chances, their finishing just wasnt up to scratch at all tho. Second half we really showed them up, and the first goal just killed them completely. Was a good performance by us none the less, the chants of "Thats Why Were Champions!" when the third went in just says it all really. Bring on the Championship
MC Prussian Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Great result for us, shame about Crewe (but they had shot themselves in the foot before with poor results). Also, congrats to the again MASSIVE away support and the costumes!!!
lcfcadam Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Finally I join the ranks of the OS finest - that's me on the left in the ludicrous blue long-johns! WHAT a great day - in terms of the whole away day experience, this was the best yet...
