syston_fox Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I think I saw Katy, Alex, Ched, and was Syston Fox (?) on the train from sunny nunny with some school girls? Just got back, i'm pretty pissed, best away day of the season but maybe that cos' i'm pissed. If that pic is you then I was on the same train as you from Nunny with my mate Jodie. Katy and Alex wern't on that train - dont know about Ched.
syston_fox Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Finally I join the ranks of the OS finest - that's me on the left in the ludicrous blue long-johns! WHAT a great day - in terms of the whole away day experience, this was the best yet... Saw you in McDonalds (dropping your money everywhere ) but couldn't for the life of me remember your name!
lcfcadam Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 OMG we were at Nueaton station with you pair! There and back, me and my daughter were having a laugh when we saw you! Well done for dressing up Cheers! Saw you in McDonalds (dropping your money everywhere ) but couldn't for the life of me remember your name! Being with someone who manages to drop all their coins in the middle of a busy McDonalds in foreign territory really damages your street-cred... although I suppose it wasn't in great shape in the first place!
Corky Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 It was an okay performance, a few lucky goals, would of been better to cap it off in style with good football, shame Pearson can't really deliver that, let's just hope we don't make an emberrasment of ourselves next year. You what? We played alright, there was some lovely interchanges and spells of passing throughout the match. We capped the season in fine style, 3-0 away from home is a good result, whatever division you are in.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Excellent day out. Met some more FT'ers. I was a little pissed, the stewards in front of us telling us to sit down done my head in but the banter from the fans that followed was absolute class. We have some great fans. Overall very enjoyable and I am looking forward to many more FT gatherings next season.
Granno Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Darth Vader asked for his picture with me at half time!! Ah I've seen the pictures. If i'd have known it was you I would have introduced myself! There's always next season now.
Matt Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 If that pic is you then I was on the same train as you from Nunny with my mate Jodie. Katy and Alex wern't on that train - dont know about Ched. Yeah Hawaiian shirt and the schoolgirl! My mate shook your hand as we were leaving I think? Were you with Katy at the match though? I saw a group of you, your mate, Katy and Alex near the front after the game. And I think Ched was near the front at the start of the match then moved I think?
Carlos9 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I had to sit in the crewe stand 1st of all i went into the ticket bit with my shirt out and they took my ticket off me and walked me to the police. So i went in and brought another ticket and zipped ma jacket up . Was a decent 2nd half, wish i was down in the Leicester stands tho !

lildave3 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 take of your leicester tinted glasses, from what i've seen, we're not good enough for next season, we need some exciting players, Micheal Kightly would come to us.. You are probably the worst WUM i've ever seen.

Joe. Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I thought you didn't watch us in League 1? He's not even a Leicester fan!
LeicesterFan10 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 He's not even a Leicester fan! that's over the top... perhaps im just looking into the future and know we need big signings to stay up. you just have to look at some of the quality and realise were a bit behind that and to stay up we need players like Kightly. I haven't seen him mentioned for a while for Wolves, so I guess he's fallen out of favour.

Simi Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Yeah Hawaiian shirt and the schoolgirl! My mate shook your hand as we were leaving I think? Were you with Katy at the match though? I saw a group of you, your mate, Katy and Alex near the front after the game. And I think Ched was near the front at the start of the match then moved I think? I had a white shirt and brown hat on. I was down the front quickly but just stood on the back row all match, wasn't the best. Decent enough.
CosbehFox Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 We walked past JME in the caveman gear too - my daughter thought he was "scary" My brother crowned him the best of the lot. It was an okay performance, a few lucky goals, would of been better to cap it off in style with good football, shame Pearson can't really deliver that, let's just hope we don't make an emberrasment of ourselves next year. Didn't go then? For 15 mins, we knocked around superbly and the ball never left the floor. We even took the right royals with flicks and all. The Crewe fans certainly appreciated it!
leftsideoverhere Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 The Crewe fans certainly appreciated it! The Crewe fans were top notch. Took our fancy dress in good spirits, despite staring down the barrel at relegation. And lots of them stayd behind after to applaud the champions from the field. They were gracious in defeat, and by and large we were gracious in our victory. Tilley, I had figured it was you at the end, and it was nice to meet you. I've got no chance of recognising you again next season, though, unless you wear the skirt and the pink hair. They're the things which have stuck in the memory I'm afraid! Greg and I also made the OS - which makes it two away games in a row, having been snapped at Southend too. Wonder what outlandish gear we can come up with for the first away trip next year to complete the hat-trick... Yesterday - and in fact the whole of the last three months or so, since Greg finally relented and agreed to start going to city matches again - has been a delight, and we've got some excellent memories of this season. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as enjoyable without having the FT posse to discuss it with, anticipate each game with, and occasionally meet up with. Your variouys welcomes and advice on tickets and travel have been very much appreciated. I reckon by next season Greg will be posting on here in his own right, so I'll probably have to forego the pleasure of bleating on about our dad-lad days out, for fear of embarrassing him. While you all breathe a sigh of relief about that, I'll say thanks for making us so welcome this season - both on the forum and in real life. FT, and league one, rocks. Although apparently Leeds fans disagree on both counts!
Scow Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Apart from minor incident, it was a cracking day and brilliant way to end the season. The first half was a bit dull, but we really turned it on in the second half. Some of the best football we've played all season, kept it on the floor and made them look a bit silly. You could tell the players enjoyed the occasion and were suitably relaxed to play the football we did. I do feel a bit sorry for Crewe. As others have said, I thought their fans were terrific and made the day even better. I think most of them accepted they were pretty much doomed, but fair play to them, they applauded our efforts and it was nice to see that we didn't rub it in. The great thing about League One is that opposing fans have generally been different class. It's great you can go in to the same pubs and have a chat with them. I also like to think that us Leicester supporters have treated opposing fans with respect and not had this 'we shouldn't be here' attitude. I will miss this season, and although relegation was a horrible thing, I think it's helped us to become stronger.
purpleronnie Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Maybe we should all have group hugs with apposing fans before and after. This is lame!
