flanimal Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Based on what I've watched of him, I don't get him. He's too languid, doesn't do that much. Think he's not even bench worthy (yet). I say only sign him if it's for under £200,000. Otherwise let this so-called Premier League club do whatever...

flanimal Posted 6 May 2009 Author Posted 6 May 2009 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=59505 Shit, sorry about that. Thought someone was likely to have brought this up already! Oh well... cheers for the link!

Guest Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I voted yes.I also voted no. Way to sit on the fence Lib In reality, I still don't think anybody's seen enough of him to decide whether we should sign him and as for future legend, calm it down
Joe. Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 From what I've actually seen, no. But considering that's very little, it's difficult to make a full judgement. I trust Nige to get it right.
flanimal Posted 6 May 2009 Author Posted 6 May 2009 I can only think Ajdarevic must be great in training. Has anyone watched him at the training ground? Because Nigel isn't a twat, Arjo must be doing something right. Maybe he fancies him. All that flowing, luxurious hair...
billyfox1 Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 We don't know enough about him to decide. If he's not going to cost us anything except a small wage then he might be worth signing and see how he progresses. He has obviously done something right otherwise Pearson wouldn't have signed him in the first place.
Thracian Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 sign him up cheap - got nothing to lose. How many times have we done that these recent seasons and suffered the consequences?. Lackco, Ferreira, Nielson, Kaebi, Djeziri etc. The more you do it, the more likely this club will go bust. You can't sign people "on the cheap" for Championship football. I'm fairly sure there's a PFA approved minimum wage for Championship players and if it's shown they're not up to it the money's wasted. I wonder if you'd be so keen to throw your own money at "off chance" players who have done nothing whatsoever to demonstrate that they're Championship class. Quality "prospects" stand out. Look at Davies, Hobbs, Gradel or Cleveley. They may be raw and they may show their inexperience but, through all that, their basic ability to play football shines through and I don't mean through the capability to perform circus tricks. It's still early days so I've not totally discounted Adjarevic as yet but, so far, he's shown very little apart from a tendency to want to look flash.
flanimal Posted 6 May 2009 Author Posted 6 May 2009 I don't think he's up to it. The way he plays, he seems really slow, like he's not even trying. I know Berbetov plays a bit like that, and Le Tissier did for Southampton, but at least he scored a long range goal of the month every game or so! If Ajdarevic did that, sign him up - otherwise, couldn't really care.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I've always been told about the importance of voting but you really did make this easy for me (I voted both)
bluebeau Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 From what I've actually seen, no. But considering that's very little, it's difficult to make a full judgement. I trust Nige to get it right. You have got it spot on there Joe, I agree 100% What I have seen of him tbh doesn't impress me, in fact I think he has a very big ego & fancies himself as the new Ronaldo. But, as you say Big Nige must see another side to him, so in The Messiah we trust.
Rise Against Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 If it would be a cheaf deal it's may be a good option.
Legend_in_blue Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Clumsy. That was the word I used to describe him when I saw him. I'm not deviating from that train of thought yet either. Everytime he got the ball, he appeared to try to be over flashy and end up causing self-inflicted problems on the field. Prove me wrong. If he's up for the championship, he needs to get stuck in. Give him a number 2 all over and I'm sure that'll help wonders.
leicesterisme Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Well he must have alot of potential to have been at liverpool. I think Nige will sign him because obviously he has seen something in the lad that he likes. Has Knowitall mentioned anything about Astirit?
Mr Happy Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Besides not having seen him play enough football for us yet to form a decent opinion it also doesn't really matter what we think of Astrit because Pearson must of seen summat we haven't and if he deems Astrit championship quality then i'm happy with that. Lets just hope for those doubters who don't rate the guy now that he proves them wrong.

Too true i agree with thracian, we need to buy proven championship quality and we can`t rely on a guy that is an unknown quanity still and we only have friendlies to bring him through to the championship, personally I would prefer to see a fit clemence in the middle with oakley think he will have a point to prove. Either that or somebody with strength and ability to hold up the ball, Id love to see wesoloski have an injury free pre season and try and get in the side because a part of me still believes he has got something about him? heard good things of him up in scotland, apparently had a good game against celtic.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Keep him on a short term contract and see if he can prove himself in pre-season. I'd like to see him get a few more first team games under his belt before a proper judgement, instead of the cameos he's been limited to so far.
FilboFox Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Well if Nige signs him then it's because he sees something in him worth buying... and I trust his judgement so I'll leave him to it. Haven't seen anything of this guy though so I can't really make a vote...
