maddog Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Newcastle or Hull to go down Or both if Boro somehow survive I'm saying just Newcastle to go If Newcastle lose at Villa they are down, if Boro don't beat West Ham they are down.
Head Honcho Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I can't see Hull getting anything tbh and I doubt Newcastle will win at Villa so that just leaves Middlebrough needing to win by a couple at WHU Both to go for me
dandannieldanok Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Newcastle, can't see them getting any better than a draw at Villa and Hull's intensity and adrenalin should get them to a draw against a 2nd string United.
Matt Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Just wondered what odds you would have got on Newcastle being relegated at the start of the season, so had a search and found 33/1, TBH I would have expected better odds than for Newcastle to drop despite there decline season after season.
Bakey Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Newcastle because i generally dislike them and can't see them getting the points that they need.

You could have almost got 3/1 before yesterdays games.
Matt Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 You could have almost got 3/1 before yesterdays games. I'd probably have had a tenner on that if I saw it, even though i'm having a month of not gambling I think that would have been to good to turn down.
flanimal Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 No chance Newcastle will go down. They're a big, jammy club. They'll escape, 'cause those sort of clubs do. The ref will probably give everything their way. Hull are down.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 If Sunderland lose on Monday then I think they will go down. If Sunderland were to go down I would love it just as much as Hull going down, my start of season prediction would be correct.
davieG Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Hull to go down, no sentimetality here they'll be weaker as oppenents than Newcastle next season.
filbertway Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Newcastle hopefully. Immense away day potential there!
lavrentis Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 If Newcastle go down, I hope our away day there is on a cold windy Tuesday night in the middle of Winter.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I reckon Hull will but I hope Newcastle do so I voted Newcastle to go.
Head Honcho Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 If Newcastle go down, I hope our away day there is on a cold windy Tuesday night in the middle of Winter. Why?
ousefox Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Toon please. Want boro to stay up but not gonna happen.
Alexikokopops Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 My ideal would be both going down. I can couple the Hull away game with a visit to see the parents and everyone wants Newcastle to go down it seems. I reckon it'll just be Newcastle though. No one seems to want to pick up any points so it'll probably just stay as it is.

flanimal Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 If Newcastle do go down (which I'm beginning to think is more of a possibility after reading people's views), what do you think their chances are of getting straight back up, compared to West Brom and Hull?
Alexikokopops Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Is that me and Mrs HF? There's something I have to tell you.......
phillip j fry Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 hull to go down, they wont get a result against a man u second string.newcastle could well scrape draw against villa.sooner it was newcastle though.
Matt Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 I'm still holding onto the fact even if Hull do get beat by a 2nd string United team, It doesn't mean Newcastle will be safe, Villa could do alot for their popularity if they beat Newcastle next week. What would be nice is Hull losing, Newcastle think they are staying up with a 0-0 draw, Villa score in the last minute. I'm a nasty bastard ain't I?!
