Radovan's Caravan Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 And they call it the data room becuase they pack it full of as much meaningless data as they can to ensure that the real nuggets of info they might want to hide are difficult to find. This is not a wander through the accounts department asking questions. They do not get a considered opinion from the finance team, they get to look at everything they ask for (and plenty they don't) and make their own judgements. The 'data room' certainly with regards to the mooted takeover(s) of NUFC (and I suspect elsewhere too) is one big red herring: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...o-a-crisis.html Who is feeding all this shit to your gullible media?

Samilktray Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Mike Ashley is a absolute dick , changing his mind constantly , just stick with one decision ,Sell or dont jesus its not hard Selling the clubs been easy.
CosbehFox Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Read a letter in the new WSC made me laugh. Went along the lines of this 'Whilst on the topic of North East saviours. My friend works in a hospital children ward where Alan Shearer recently visited at Christmas. The normal gig happened. Presents handed out, photos taken and all done with a sheen. Then the signing of various football shirts for the nurses family members. All going well. Then, one nurse ran over and asked Shearer to have a word with one poor lad. The lad was stuck in the middle of a coma since a road accident and hadn't show any signs of waking up. Maybe if Alan had a word, he might wake up. Alan walked over quite humble and spoke...'This is Alan Shearer, I don't know if I you can hear me or not', silence for a moment and the lad begins to show signs of waking up...'FFFFF'. He was stuck on a word, eventually it came through 'fook off you big twat'. The lad was a Sunderland fan.'
C-man Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 If David O'Leary is appointed, they'll win the league. If they appoint Shearer, they won't make the play-offs.
Corky Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 If David O'Leary is appointed, they'll win the league. If they appoint Shearer, they won't make the play-offs. I don't understand all the clamouring for Shearer to be appointed. Seems like, with Norwich and Gunn, heart ruling head. I agree with you, O'Leary would be a far better choice.
Ultra Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Even though he has no more experience of lower-league football than Shearer?
lildave3 Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Even though he has no more experience of lower-league football than Shearer? Yeah but he has more knowledge of managing a team wearing a yellow away strip.
Flynny Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Even though he has no more experience of lower-league football than Shearer? See, you've phrased that to make it sound comparable, but you've completely skewed the issue. (Bridges, DavieG, etc, etc.) At least O'Leary's actually got quite a few seasons management under his belt. Shearer's got 8 shit games.
Corky Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Even though he has no more experience of lower-league football than Shearer? Shearer's won one out of eight matches. O'Leary has finished in the top 6 of the Premier League in five seasons, at two clubs. Okay, he may not have much lower-league experience, but he knows how to manage so-called big clubs with pressure on him to do well.
The Doctor Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Shearer's won one out of eight matches.O'Leary has finished in the top 6 of the Premier League in five seasons, at two clubs. Okay, he may not have much lower-league experience, but he knows how to manage so-called big clubs with pressure on him to do well. this is the reason why they should appoint shearer.
Jon the Hat Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Lets not forget that for those 8 games, Ian Dowie was in fact in charge....
