Vlad The Impaler Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Think this lads got bags of potential, Remember the liverpool reserve or youth team coach banging on about him saying we have got a gem and stuff. He didn't set the world alight really last season but i can really see a great player in him. I like how Nige is going about things aswell, from what i saw last season he always wanted to do the best for the team, one example when he was drying the ball on his shirt for Oakley to throw and he celebrated our promtion as if it meant the world to him, if he doesn't turn out as good as i had hoped i'm still happy with the strategy which Nige has got which is to bring hungry young playes rather than some prem reject taking it easy. Goog luck to the lad I say
Joe. Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 I know I should trust Nige, but I've just got a bad feeling that he's going to end up being a total flop here. It's only a one-year deal though, which I'm not sure is a good or a bad thing. Good in the respect that he's not tied down here if he does fail, but bad that we're not confident enough to give him any longer...
StanSP Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Think we should give him a chance. Glad it's only one year because as Joe said, he's not really tied down to us for too long. But he might be a hit (disregarding last season's performances). Maybe I'm just being too optimistic
BlueSi13 Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Hmm he didn't impress me at all in what i saw of him last season but NP must really see something there....worth a punt and could come in handy when there's one or two injuries to the midfield area
leicesterseddon Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 this lad will become a first team player mark my words! have you been watching the liverpool reserves then? because he certainly hasn't played enough for us to make any realistically accurate judgements... as others have said, the one-year deal says it all. having said that, he might be worth a punt...
Jimmy Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 HobbsBrown Nielson Weale N'Guessan Ajdarević 6 signings and its still June 7th, actually. who did I miss?

Good in the respect that he's not tied down here if he does fail, but bad that we're not confident enough to give him any longer... I think we've given him a year to see whether he can prove himself, more than anything. If he impresses, he can always sign an extension, if not he'll just get released. who did I miss? No-one, we've signed 6. Unless he meant the new sponsors of the kop.
J.Lisemore Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 I hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be a good player.
JoeyB Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Happy with this, in the few home games he played last season looked like he had a nice touch and good vision which is possibly what we were lacking last time in the championship, hopefully he will become a good astute signing!
Benji Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Very happy, clearly has bags of talent he was just too eager to impress people in the few games at the end and maybe a bit nervy. If he starts playing regularly and takes an extra second to think he'll be a good player i think.
foxoffderby Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 who did I miss? verma. If Astrit is classed as a new player having been out of contract, think the same applies to him I think.
Blue Foxes Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 I'm also pleased with this signing, looks as though he has talent, and I saw him taking shots before the Scunny game
Jimmy Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 verma. If Astrit is classed as a new player having been out of contract, think the same applies to him I think. Verma was never out of contract, he just had it extended, where as Astrit was on loan before and released by Liverpool
Bert Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 verma. If Astrit is classed as a new player having been out of contract, think the same applies to him I think. The OS claim it's 6 too. Seeing as that's the official site, it must be true.
BlueSi13 Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Verma's going to be our secret weapon next year....NP's been keeping him under wraps ready to unleash him...probably.
foxoffderby Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 The OS claim it's 6 too. Seeing as that's the official site, it must be true. Must be, find it a bit strange though. Im sure he signed a 1 year contract though unless he signed at the back end of the season, but in which case so did Hobbs. Just find it strange hes not classed as a new player if Astrit is. Any ideas?

Unknown Fox Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 The lad must be given a fair chance before any criticism is voiced. Nigel obviosly thinks he may be a player worthy of pulling on a Foxes shirt, so we must wait and see. Best of luck to him. This. Give him a chance he can hardly be judged on 5 substitute cameo appearances that would seem harsh.
