Zingari Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Neighbour has a tree and its roots are fucking up the water supply, the sewer feed and my path.He won't get it cut down because he hasn't got the money. Solutions? i thought that cutting away a complete ring of bark from all around the trunk would gradually kill it , and the roots would just rot away not too sure though
James. Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Hire a chainsaw and cut it down. And then kill everyone in sight. Second bit is optional.
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Hire a chainsaw and cut it down. And then kill everyone in sight.Second bit is optional. Poison the tree with sodium chlorate, cyanide, salt etc!!
StanSP Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Raise the issue with council saying what the trees doing i.e. fooking up the supplies etc.
Bryn Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Get onto the council. Few years back we were forced to remove a tree that was messing up people's supplies and that tree wasn't actually even within our boundaries!
Shrenchel Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 I know someone whose parents had a similar problem. They ended up forking out to get a engineer's report done proving the roots are the problem because the council/insurance companies didn't want to know before that.
Zingari Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 how do i get rid of an irritating old Birch on my pitch ? regards Mandy
coale39 Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Just accidentally drop loads a poison everyday next to the tree. (pref tree poison)
Tabou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Neighbour has a tree and its roots are fooking up the water supply, the sewer feed and my path.He won't get it cut down because he hasn't got the money. Solutions? Post a letter through their letter box, 'Anonymously' informing them that their next door neighbour (You) is a convicted sex offender. They then sell the house, and your new neighbours move in, who are avid tree haters. Long winded, and slightly risky, but I don't see that you have any other viable options.
Monk Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Chainsaw it in such a way that it falls right through his front window.
Tommy G Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Neighbour has a tree and its roots are fucking up the water supply, the sewer feed and my path.He won't get it cut down because he hasn't got the money. Solutions? Move to a better house
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Behave you lot. I'm his fcuking neighbour! Well, in that case, kill the fecker, shove his tree up his arse.....
stez Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 there are ways, such as the ring bark method (as mentioned) or you could drill holes in it and pour bleach/jayes fluid/round up in the holes, but bare in mind this make the tree dangerous ie dead branches could fall on your pride and joy, and/or the wife and kids. it's also wise to bare in mind that it's illegal for you to do it without the neighbours consent and/or if there's a preservation order on it.
Tabou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 As nobody seems to be suggesting reasonable, non-piss-take solutions, I thougth I would. Convert your garden into a Beaver Sanctuary.
