lou Posted 12 February 2010 Posted 12 February 2010 Wasted 3 hours of my life on Doodlejump today, its an absolutely incredibly addictive game, I love it. Oh God I made the fatal mistake of downloading this too....
hairy Posted 12 February 2010 Posted 12 February 2010 maybe a silly question but do these applications work on i touch aswell????????????? Most yes. Obviously without the 3G some of the apps such as maps are not 'live' but if you use maps when still on your wifi it stores the directions but cant tell you where you are when your on the journey. All the games work on the touch.

So my plan is get a cheaper phone but buy a touch as i will only use apps when im at home or travelling because i cant use my phone at work and im not worrying about my phone after ive had ten pints and wondering round with a £400 gadget.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 13 February 2010 Posted 13 February 2010 That fucking Doodle Jump has wasted about 9 hours of my life since yesterday. Cheers

Houdini Logic Posted 17 February 2010 Posted 17 February 2010 Between doodle jump and chatroulette, advice I receive on here is ruining my life...
rmc Posted 17 February 2010 Posted 17 February 2010 Doodle jump is the reason I've had to recharge my iPod every day the past week. Doodle jump is the reason I couldn't pay attention in my lecture today. If I didn't download Doodle jump, maybe I could've got some real worthwhile things done. But I'd download it again and again, it rules.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 February 2010 Posted 18 February 2010 I'm still amazed with the barcode scanner. People must think I'm a nutter walking round tesco's scanning everything in.
Collymore Posted 18 February 2010 Posted 18 February 2010 I'm thinking of getting the 3GS 16gb, does anyone if it's NOT a good time to get one at the moment? Maybe due to a future price drop that they might know about? I'm always really cautious when getting a phone. I can get the 3GS 16gb for £26 a month for 24 montns, £89 for the phone, 600 mins and 500 texts. Is this alright? I get the 32gb one for around £200 but not sure I'm going to be needing that much extra storage. Anyone regret not getting the 32GB?

They tend to bring the new iPhones out in September (I think), so it will probably get cheaper then.

There's a new operating system in the pipeline, OS4, probably due the end of March. This is something you'll be able to upgrade your phone to anyway so it won't matter none. A new model is rumoured to be ready for launch about June and so I'm going to skip the 3GS and hang on for two months. The 4GS is rumoured to have better battery life, an OLED screen, a better camera and video capabilities, (along with other stuff). If you can wait a bit, I would.

The two disappointing things I have found with my iPhone are it's camera and battery life.
Collymore Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 It is freaking amazing! I've got 'goskywatch' which you can take outside, point at a star or planet with your phone and it will tell you what you're looking at! I've also got 'gosatwatch' which will tell you when and where to look for shuttles, the ISS and satellites passing over head! The Sky+ app is pretty handy too, especially if you've forgot to record something on the move. It's all alien techology, it must me!!!

Collymore Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Don't tell me that.... It is has made me go out and buy a telescope! Saturn is hovering to the east horizon but I'll be asleep by the time it makes it above the lamp post across the road

Yeah, the battery life on my 3Gs is shocking. Still getting used to mine and I got it at the end of December, not 100% sure I like it or not yet. I like the Traffic, Weather, Alan Partridge, Sky sports, Twitterific, The Guardian and My Diary apps and that's about it. Some of the apps I've got are utter shite though.

Jimothy Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Tunein radio is good for...........well radio.
Jon the Hat Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 With £75 of vouchers I got from work in hand, I have been trying to convince myself I don;t need an iphone, and that getting a 32Gb touch for bascially £130 is a much better and cheaper option. But... How annoying is it going to be having to hunt for wifi out and about... Work won't give me the Wifi password, so I have the internet at home where I will use the mac anyway. Pah. Going to have to bite the bullet and go for the phone... Question is do I have the strenght to wait months for the next model.... Hmmm. I think... Not. <_<
Jimothy Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 New update for doodle jump Plus my new obsession, Rat on a Scooter. Also just download a thing called SleepCycle. Meant to detect your movement while you sleep and wake you up when your in your lightest stage of sleep, or something like that, within half an hour of your alarm. Meant to help you feel more refreshed. I'll see how it goes.

Jimothy Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Like a 1/2 hour snooze button or 1/2 hour before your alarm goes off? Either way, why? I have no idea. It was only 59p and had a four and half star rating, so why not.
