I think half of his problem is the level of anonymity he has maintained over the years while he's been saying things about people. If I call some dimwit a cockend he or she could always find me in the Swan before matches, just looking out for Danny Baker. Ultra, Colin, has made comments about being at my kids' school to molest them, racially slurred Singhy as a terrorist and then disgracefully called davieG (a wonderful, gentle and kind-spoken man) a racist and inferred he had Nazi-sympathies. I don't think any of us have 'a right' to anonymity on the internet. Do you think that the current level of homophobic, racist and generally insulting comments on here would continue if everyone had to use their real name and photo? Would it shit. Colin is the archetypal keyboard warrior, spouting tuff-stuff from his little bedroom but barely able to muster an audible comment in real-life. I do wonder what the Mercury would make of his collected works. Yours, Dave Cross, teacher, Birmingham.

I wouldnt recommend it though Anyone who really wishes to remain anonymous on a public forum really shouldnt draw attention to themselves making outrageous slanderous posts about others IMO. Especially if they hold a position of some public interest such as a Councillor.

Regards, your #1 fan "Keyboard warrior" usually describes someone that is aggressive and forthcoming on the internet but nothing like it in real life. The difference between Daggers and Ultra is that Daggers isn't any different in the pub as on here i.e. he's a loud obnoxious willy puller wherever he is I can't comment on Ultra but I think Daggers' point is that he's a lot more timid than the front on here suggests. That's how I read it.

I agree in part, I think Ultra's prone to serious stupidity at times and should probably learn to think before he types (but then so could many of us.) But, as I've already said, he did kind of have a point in this post. People only need the slightest bit of provocation to whinge for hours about political correctness... but this isn't really applicable here.
