Do you remember the away game at Blackpool on the 2nd feb 2008. I remember that weekend i stayed at very good hotel. Even though the result was poor I really enjoyed the weekend seeing all the foxes fans in Blackpool.

Do you remember

Ye'h it was disgraceful being put in a stand facing the cold Irish sea. Luickly it didn't rain during the match, anyway are revenge is coming up again in Feb, ain't it funny playing blackpool the same time last time.

That was the game I went to get a hot-dog and Barry was taking a throw in and I shouted "go on Baz" about 3 yards from him and he turned round a sec and he grinned and my heart absolutely melted and I might have a little wank now.

Yes it was awesome apart from the wheather, result and the away stand itself.

Where I was sat I am sure people were shouting 'gay boy' to Shaun Barker when he was taking throw ins.

The magic of unreserved seating as well as I remember. All the old boys and twats sat down the left side and everyone who wanted to stood up down the right. Everyone happy. It's so fooking simple it's unbelievable.

I didn't go...but wasn't as near-fact that the stand was overflowing and that there were fakes flying about.

Fingers crossed, the away stand's sorted when we have them. £29 for the funding of it though.

Remember this one well.

1 The Best Western was the only thing positive about the place.

2 It was absolutely freezing.

3 Oh, and Joe Mattock was at fault for both of their goals.

4 And their burgers were crap.

I haven't gone back.

Almost forgot...

5 Who remembers the steward lady getting hit by the ball? lol

My 30th Birthday celebrations weekend. Sat by the dug out in the away end. Got tickets on the day - the ticket office at Blackpool grilled me as they were concerned Leicester fans would be in the home end and there was only about 30 left. I gave them a half truthful, half not story. Their fans found, 'du, du, du, Blackpool is a shit hole' chant quite funny.

There was bit of trouble after game I remember My dad went to cash machine not far from the hotel on the same street of the hotel getting ready for our curry out. & I heard from my window shouting & that. He came back telling me Leicester & Blackpool were shouting at each other from other sides of the road. He said it looked they would be trouble we went out half an hour later we noticed they gone & strangely there was few police about. Near that area.

Thank god their new stand will be open by the time we visit there, especially as it has a frikkin roof now!

Damn! Being it that crappy stand was all part and parcel of what made that such a quality away day.

Remember it like yesterday.

Joe Mattock demonstrated once again why I could never understand his being preferred to Sheehan (maker of two goals and man of the match for Oldham at the weekend).

Had to sit in virtual silence among the home supporters. One fan in front of us let on that he was a Leicester supporter when we scored and was promptly taken to task and quickly ejected.

Met a guy in the pub who was 10 years older than me and had seen more City games than Lisa. He been home and away to almost every game including continental matches and pre-season friendlies.

Basically the trip was a good un and our unambitious and altogether below par performance was appalling. Even Dickov scored to make it worse. Whoever does Dickov score against, I ask you! :(

Oh come on!! One's at the top of the Championship and ones in the bottom half of League 1 - surely that tells you something?!

It tells me nothing except that Mattock led a charmed football life until his recent brush with the law.

Mattock was a promising player and we did well to sell him for so much but I never thought he looked an attacking threat at first team level and his questionable positioning defensively made him just as vulnerable as Sheehan was to being run at.

I'm not sure I ever had Mattock as Man of the Match in a Leicester shirt and it remains to be seen how he finally fares at West Brom. Obviously I still wish him the best - and that he learns a lesson for life as a result of his court case - but I've never changed my opinion as to which of the two was the better player.

Sheehan's challenge at Oldham is to stay motivated, stay fit and show the effective attacking ability that he showed in City's reserves and, briefly, in City's first team.

Hmm I never saw Sheehan play great for the first team, can't comment on the reserves. The way he's been passed about lower league clubs suggest we were right to get shot. Agreed Mattock never hit the glimpses of excellence he showed early on, but he'll turn out decent imo - much like Stearman i reckon. Not excellent but someway better than when he left us.
