How many Leicester fans went last night?

about 1700 I recon

(although we made the same amount of noise as 7000 forest fans)

"we've got our Leicester back","we've got our Leicester back","we've got our Leicester back",

I am not lying! You took full advantage of the 'accidental brush' as well as telling me to 'not stop jumping up and down'...for obvious reasons. There's no place in football for sexual harassment sunshine!

I agree but there is plenty of room for.....

Crackin stuff. Stood up all game about 3 rows from the front. Some top lads around me as well. Can't see what anyone is complaining about, there were plenty of spare seats down the right hand side for sitting or standing. Would have only taken the tiniest piece of initiative to move.

We sold out initial allocation of 1,800, so there were certainly more than that! X

I was in F block and stood all game. It was fairly shambolic, initially only half of f block was used then one steward made the decision to allow fans to use that area. The atmosphere and the performance was one of the best in ages.

One final gripe on the stewarding two lads on the front row were helped from the stadium, one understandably as he was terrifically excited about the goal and encroached onto the 'running track' while the other poor soul simply leant forward slightly and was hoiked out and marched out of the ground.

With regards the comments from the flask brigade regarding the school holiday supporters I do have some sympathy with them as an away end can occasionally resemble a group of extras from Grange Hill who insist on singing songs they've heard the bigger boys use. If you are going to stand be sensible and realise their are areas you can and areas you can't.

Stood on the right side fairly near the front - for most of the game anyway, as Greg was feeling poorly and wanted to sit down quite a bit. Folks behind were happy standing too. Funny how all the people in the middle blocks were sitting (presumably the early arrivals got the best choice of seats) while those who went via the pub got the sides. We only just made it to the ground on time thanks to setting off late, and the gangway we should have been in was closed off.

Standing on the two sides was pretty solid, and despite being close to the front I didn't get any trouble from stewards. I think having too many people for the available seats would not have helped your situation, AFIE.

Unreserved seating is surely just bollocks. What's the point? Human nature results in empty seats dotted around, and then the latecomers can't sit with their mates. Crowd spread out more thinly tends to worsen atmosphere, although last night was pretty decent, thanks to sheer numbers.

As for 'We are champions, champions of league one' - somehow sounded really emotional, rather than boastful, last night. Very happy to sing that again.

I had to share her with a few other lads though. <_<

lol

I didn't stand, would have liked to but if I really wanted to, I suppose I would have done.

Shame I had a little kid and a granny behind me <_<

She started singing the Leicester Leicester Leicesterrrr chant on her own and everyone around me started laughing so bad.

I enjoyed it last night, I liked the fact the boring bastards around where I first went were all sitting yet I could then move to somewhere were there was some decent atmosphere, although surely unreserved seating is more dangerous and more of a risk to H&S than terracing, and standing in a designated spot.

In the second half last night when I moved to somewhere where some decent atmosphere was being made, it was quite clear the row was well overpopulated, more people standing in it, that seats allowed, when we scored it was chaos was being pulled/pushed from behind, nearly fell face first over the seats infront of me, no-one got hurt and it didn't bother me as it adds to the fun (Aslong as no-one gets hurt as I said) but just making the point it is quite clearly more dangerous and a risk than a terrace, or even standing when you are giving a seat or 'plot'.

Yeah, but it is the situation because the government will not review its policies. This creates a situation which is dangerous, but it does not upset or make publicity for a cause which could stir up some bad feeling because of the Hillsborough disaster, which if u dig even slightly will show how the police who are supposedly there to maintain order safely were at fault and the establishment do not want that. Therefore we will put up with the situation, because it suits those who make the decisions :(

Yeah but what I was saying is i'm surprised the government hasn't put a law or ban in place to stop unreserved seating - Afterall look at the fuss at most games over the standing arguement, whether people do it or not and take note of the laws or bans is another question.

Personally I love unreserved because you can stay with your mates and get into a really good group like last night.

Areas with unreserved seating can only be sold to 90% capacity, apparently. This is to overcome the empty single seat issue, among others. The problem last night was that rather than allowing us to use the whole stand, some bright spark thought that trying to fill each block at a time was the correct way to go about things, when clearly, it wasn't. There were so many empty seats in that right hand corner, nobody needed to be sharing a space.

This sort of thread is why I have finally registered. There seems to be a group who feel they have the right to do as they like because they are having a great time. Well done Lisa for being a sane voice who can see others point of view. I too love to stand but at suitable times and not when it ruins the experience for other fans. A bit of common sense and co-operation and everyone could enjoy their day. The way some people talk about their fellow fans is disgraceful and if all the fans the mouthy element on here do not like stopped attending as suggested then the club would be in real trouble. I suppose I should have been calmer for my first post but this attitude that some people have really annoys me! Rant over I am calmer now!!!!!!Nearly!

:dunno: I went with my mate and my dad, but we ended up sitting apart due to the lack of seats...

A. I don't know how that happened.

And B. What time did you get there?

There was a bit of an issue with the 20 people to 3 seats ^_^ ....and maybe 15/20 minutes before kick off. It was either sit in the row directly in front or trudge of to sit right in the corner <_<

At least we know Preston is unreserved though, so straight to the back for that one :D
