Bryn Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 if you were Pearson and a bid came in for Tunchev, to cash in? Let's say, £1.5m-£2m region. I think I'd just about turn it down, but it was something I was thinking about due to everyone saying Brown and Hobbs were doing so well.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 Wort that much, want at least £4 million. Not that it will happen thank God.
C-man Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 If Cardiff can get £6m for Roger Johnson then Tunchev is worth at least £10m.
Cobbo Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 He'll be back in. It's a very good thing we can ease him back in due to the ability of our centre halves. But let's make no bollocks up here, he is the best player in our squad. Best centre half, then.

kam6 Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 he is the best centre back we have. Brown will get injured and the TUNCH will come in and take his place.
Kilworthfox Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 he is the best centre back we have. Brown will get injured and the TUNCH will come in and take his place. IMO Tunch should start vs Barnsley. If we sold him I would like a lot more than £2m and it should be reinvested
Ozwin Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 If Ronaldo is worth £80m then Tunchev is worth at least double that tbf.
bluebeau Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 Selling Tunch shouldn't even be considered by the football club. We must keep our best players if we are to make it into the Prem. Tunch is definetly one that is good enough to play in the Prem. If we did get promoted, we would probably need to buy at least one central defender if Tunch had gone, so where the Hell is the gain? Wayne Brown or Jack Hobbs unfortunately are at risk of injury, suspension, illness or loss of form, Tunch steps in & then he has the shirt. We have a brilliant manager in Big Nige & it appears that one of his qualities is he is a good man manager & he seems that he can keep the squad happy.

I still reckon that if Tunchev didn't get injured last season plus had a full pre season and started this season maybe we would be struggling to keep him at the club at this moment in time.
JJ Whisper Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I want to see Tunch and Brown first.......bit lacking in pace....but forwards wouldn't come near them in the first place if one misses the other will def land a elbow/headbut/gentle shove......
The Doctor Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 wonder if NP is ever tempted to play all 3 cb's go 3-1-3-1-2 brown, tuch and hobbs at the back, berner in defensive midfield, wellens, oakley, king across the middle with N'Guessan playing just behind fryatt and howard
James. Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 go 3-1-3-1-2brown, tuch and hobbs at the back, berner in defensive midfield, wellens, oakley, king across the middle with N'Guessan playing just behind fryatt and howard Where's the width though? For once we have proper wingers and you want to leave all but N'Guessan on the bench and play him behind the front two just to accommodate a third centre back. Not convinced by that. Tunchev will get an opportunity, but I'd be hesitant to break up what looks to be a solid partnership (and team formation) just now.
Simo86 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 IMO Tunch should start vs Barnsley. quote]I'd have to disagree with that. Hobbs and Brown have both played very well in the last 3 games, so i don't see the logic in dropping one of them. Tunchev will get back in the side, but it will take a poor performance, injury or suspension to one of the others before NP puts him back in.
Simo86 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 ........and Tunchev is worth 5mil+. I would hate to see him sold, he's one of the best defenders i've ever seen at this club.
Fosse Boy Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 You'd have to be mental to sell Sasho for less than £4-5 million. Even then I wouldn't accept bids from anyone below the top flight, he's just too valuable an asset for us.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I'd swap Tunchev for a bag of Haribo, If I was hungry.
carterfox90 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 maybe NP is keeping tunch out on purpose to ease him back in & keeping him out of the shop window as rumours were about everton making a bid especially when they lose lescott to man city tunchev is pure class & would be worth at least 5 million no sell not even for a bag of sweeties !!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Kilworthfox Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I know that my opinion is not one of the majority, however You should always play your best players, and Tuchev is our best player. Brown & Hobbs have done very well I agree, but Tunchev unless unfit should always start. Brown has made a few errors against Ipswich & Sheff Utd and Hobbs distribution is his weak point, Tunchev from memory has never made a mistake in a Leicester shirt
Asha Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I'd start with Brown and Hobbs against Barnsley. They're looking solid, and have only conceded 2 goals so far and one was an absolute belter. Tunchev is quality, but why break up a good partnership at the moment. Start him against Preston.

Agree with all of that and tunch is worth more then 1-2m i value tunch at 4-5m.
Thracian Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 maybe NP is keeping tunch out on purpose to ease him back in & keeping him out of the shop window as rumours were about everton making a bid especially when they lose lescott to man city tunchev is pure class & would be worth at least 5 million no sell not even for a bag of sweeties !!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I was told he wouldn't be back until close to Christmas and mentioned this last season. As the weeks go by that seems increasingly likely. Hobbs and Brown seem to have us well oganised so I cannot see any need for rushing if there is any doubt about Tunchev's readiness. Would I take a bid? . But there's not likely to be a bid, more especially a bid that reflects his ability, until it's seen that he's back to his best. Tunchev is, or at least was, a quality defender and reader of the game. But while accepting that everyone has a price I wouldn't be in a rush to sell him at all if he's mended properly and has lost nothing either physically or mentally since having his setback. I don't think we could easily replace his qualities. He's a good footballer as well as being a good defender although to date our defence does seem to be playing the ball forward with more speed, thought and patience than was previously the case.
