Solid win but we didnt play to our best... which is pleasing in a way! They looked dangerous on the break and I was glad to hear the final whistle.

I thought the substitutions were fair... it was bloody hot and weve got another game Tuesday so I felt he was saving the players (Howard particularly) from getting too knackered.

Linesmen were attrocious, ref wasnt too bad I suppose.

Chose to move seats at half time as the disabled next to me started racially abusing the ref within ten mins and I couldnt keep my mouth shut.:angry:

So I thought best move (ta to Lisa and Carl for letting us squeeze in their row! ) Nice up there out of the sun anyway lol

Nice to meet a few FTers in the pub...... and lovely to meet Singh, the gorgeous Singh Jr and Nick for the 1st time. :D

How did Holloway act at the Walkers and what were the fans' reactions?

1st time he stood he got booed then he got a bit of stick.. usual stuff, got asked to wave to the fans which he did then got called a willy puller for his troubles lol He laughed it all off but looked a bit uneasy I thought at times. Didnt get that much abuse though.... one of their players came over at the end and gestured at our fans so he got called a few names too :D

Hobbs and Browd had shockers. Hopefully Tunchev comes in on Tuesday because they made loads of mistakes today. I was cacking myself everytime they hoofed it towards out goal.

Fair result, both teams had shocking defending. Didnt have anything going forward without Howard/Dyer, but then again the heat did takes its toll, and the lads that came on need match practice.

Fair play, fook off Ollie.

Automatic promotion? Play offs?

Get a grip.

Whos Saying this? Ollie?

Blackpool were the better team in the first half, the game was very open and I thought we stood off them far too much at times. In the second half we were a bit more comfortable on the ball and used our possession well. Apart from the goal, I thought Brown was quality today, in the air especially. I am running out of things to say about Wellens, the bloke is absolutely quality, a player we have been crying out for and as I said before a player which we expected in Clemence.

Very happy with the start to the season, how can we possibly moan really. :)

Great win, nice to be gathering plenty of points so early in the season. Something we have usually struggled to do in the Championship.

True - I do hope his place will never be threatened by Clem coming back... he doesnt deserve to be dropped.

First a hearty "well done" to Matty Fryatt for plundering the two opportunist goals by which we won the match today.

No praise is too high for the guy because he was the only player in our side who ever looked likely to score and he took his goals with ruthless efficiency.

Pity he didn't bag his hat-trick near the end but, once again, he hit the target and forced a save.

Of far more concern is that he's beginning to look like a lone gun in the arsenal.

Howard might have scored with a header early but his effort lacked power and on another occasion he sent a fairlysimple chance high and wide but that was just about it. Did we have a single shot thereafter that required the visiting goalkeeper to make a save never mind a serious save?

Okay Blackpool were unbeaten and looked a lively, quick and competitive side. They deserve credit. But we really didn't pass the ball well, we didn't support anything like fast enough or keenly enough and we didn't really look dangerous in any phase apart from Fryatt.

What we did do was stick in there. We maintained a challenge and we remained organised. There is so much work to be done and, sadly, don't know that Pearson is radical enough to make the improvements necessary.

In fact he might be looking at our sixth place and thinking he'll accept some more of the same. But it really is time we started showing there's more to us as an attacking force than Fryatt and it's time some of the new boys started to show what they're doing here.

Wellens was fairly anonymous in the first half he did improve significantly in the 2nd. I'm just not a fan of Brown it's no use winning the ball if you're going to continually give it back which he did, which makes a mockery of his continual berating of Weale and the other defenders. His power approach masks some significant deficiencies.

Dyer was awful today. Someone needs to explain to him that he plays on the win, not in the centre. Howard did nothing wrong but i guess the sub was fitness/tiredness based.

I suppose it was very hot and players got tired easy, the reason for the subs.

Got to disagree thought Dyer had his best game of the season today, was evident that he was told to come more central and play just behind Howard and Fryatt so that he could run on to the big mans flick ons. Dyer ran a lot and most importantly ran with the ball today thought he had a much better game.

Good result today, pleased to get one over that baldy twat. Hope to see Howard score on Tuesday to do his confidence the world of good. Just like it did last season.

I will be very pissed off if we cant beat Posh as they really cant defend but are good going forward. Not sure whether Tunchev should be coming back just yet but no doubt NP will make the correct decision. I think we will win on Tues and at Watford with it being a very good month for us.

The only thing I enjoyed was seeing that red retro top they have in the club shop, I'm going to buy one of them.

Yeah i seen that today too

I will deffinately be purchasing that

They were all crap.

I was certain they'd score when out free kick hit the ref and they broke. It just seemed like the perfect way for Hollotwat to get some sort of a result against us. Thankfully it wasn't to be.

He wasnt that bad... not as poor as the bloody linesmen!

Quite agree. One of the linesmen must have worked for the railways earlier in his life he was that flag happy and I thought the referee had the saving grace of at least trying to let the play flow.

Just got back from the game, deserved the win. Well done city.

On another note had a ruck with raciest city fans in the Keith Weller Lounge at half time.

Im so angry I cant explain to you. Was at the bar ordering my half time bevy, this ignorant bloke says facking pak* bastard ref we should of been winning etc.. I said hes actullay Indian and not pakistani. He was ignorant he didn't know the difference but yet made raciest coments about him because it was his fault we were drawing at half time and not because of Browns poor defending

Anyone with a brown face is a p*ki acording to this racist 50 year old.

Anyway his mate had to to stop it, as I was ready to knock his block off

I cant beleive this still happens in Leicester. I left the city 20 years ago when this kind of thing was really bad. I've lived in Derby and Nottingham in those years never heard such rubbish like I did at the walkers today. Im really shocked. I've recently been thinking about coming back to the city of my birth but this has really put me off.
