Just got back from the game, deserved the win. Well done city.

On another note had a ruck with raciest city fans in the Keith Weller Lounge at half time.

Im so angry I cant explain to you. Was at the bar ordering my half time bevy, this ignorant bloke says facking pak* bastard ref we should of been winning etc.. I said hes actullay Indian and not pakistani. He was ignorant he didn't know the difference but yet made raciest coments about him because it was his fault we were drawing at half time and not because of Browns poor defending

Anyone with a brown face is a p*ki acording to this racist 50 year old.

Anyway his mate had to to stop it, as I was ready to knock his block off

I cant beleive this still happens in Leicester. I left the city 20 years ago when this kind of thing was really bad. I've lived in Derby and Nottingham in those years never heard such rubbish like I did at the walkers today. Im really shocked. I've recently been thinking about coming back to the city of my birth but this has really put me off.

Never hear any racism in the kop to be honest but you will always get a few idiots. Leicester is no worse than anywhere else for racism. Dont get involved just report them and surely they should be ejected.

Thought it was a decent show tactically. They were strong and well organised, out-muscled us first half. Second we went much wider and tried to get it around them, Lloyd stayed out left more, and with the space it was less of a physical battle. Howard wasn't crap it just wasn't a game where we hit many long balls today and as a result he was much less pivotal. Whilst you should be playing to suit the players you have on the pitch at least that suggests that if he's injured we won't go on a run of shit form again this season.

This.

I'd hope that the stewards would clamp down as firmly on racist crap in the main stand as they would in the Kop or L1.

Really entertained by the first half, and the job was done in the second.

As for wayne brown, the criticism may be coming from those in the south stand who did not have a view of his heroics "Three blocks in a minute" to stop blackpool stealing a point.

Anyone not recognising Brown's contribution today ought to be shopping, DIYing or masturbating rather than watching football

I think he's effing fantastic.

And he always makes me laugh when he tries to do anything other than tackle, for example pass the ball :P... I swear he tried to score from his own area twice today lol

stringer was jizzing over a turn he did late in the game, apparently we were to look out for it on the highlights show

Entertaining game.

So glad Fryatt shut the knob up next to me whose only reason for going to the game today was to slag Fryatt off.

Well deserved 3 points yesterday, ok, Brown ballsed up for their equaliser, but the game is 90 minutes, and he more than made up for the error.

To go a year unbeaten at home is a great achievement, :appl: to Nige and the lads.

The only thing I enjoyed was seeing that red retro top they have in the club shop, I'm going to buy one of them.

:o Oh my.

We definitely seem to have our fair share of knobs - even now with all the psoitivity that is around - I go to support and I agree that the old cliche of I pay my money and therefore I have a right to moan' holds no water. F*** off and shout at the Mrs or go into your shed - you are not welcome

Well another home win in the division and I was impressed today, more than any other game's that I have seen this season.

I thought we played football and matched Blackpool who also came and played football at times. Pleased that Matty scored and they were two great finishers it has to be said.

Good, entertaining, end-to-end game with lots of chances.

Hopefully we can beat Peterborough and get something at Watford.

Congratulations to Nigel and the team.

Ooooh er hope that wasn't me!

I did spend quite a bit of time yesterday discussing Fryatt with the people that sit around me.

While not denegrating his contribution to the team with his work ethic and goals scored to date, I find him such a frustrating player.

He lacks pace, at times is too easily knocked off the ball, is extremely selfish in the box and at times seems to have no awareness of what's going on around him.

I felt that yesterday he was very lucky to be handed 2 golden opportunities to score, thankfully he did.

I fully agree with Thracian when he asks where the goals are going to be coming from.

To depend solely on Fryatt is nothing short of criminal.

While I am not a big fan of Fryatt's I will recognise and applaud his contribution, I do feel though that we need a better striker up front, but then again don't think Pearson could persuade MM to spend the money.

I just do not want to see a situation where yet again a lack of goals see us get relegated.

Yes I do know that we're 6th in the league but it's a long hard season ahead of us.

Fair point - I am old enough to remember the East Stand moaning at lineker because he was a lazy bastard who did nothing but put the ball in the net!!!!! As for where the goals are going to come from there are plenty to come yet from Howard, Oakley, Gallagher(?) Kermit(?) King, NGuessan - my point is as well that we are going back to our old ways of when we are succesful is just expecing it to happen automatically - NP is well primed for the hard work ethic and also having answers for questions before they are asked!

Enjoy the upward motion as it is happening but don't think it happens without a lot of preparation and thought by the whole squad.

Some varied views as usual.

For an away side I thought Blackpool played a remarkably (recklessly?) open game yet despite this we were in real danger of loosing the midfield when Fryatt got the opener.

Despite equalising, Blackpool never really looked as confident as the did in the first 25 minutes and City won rather more easily than the score line suggests.

To my mind we still lack something, an attacking edge, in midfield and the scoring opportunities come few and far between, apart from Fryatt's goals I am hard pressed to remember any other occasions when we seriously threatened.

We passed the ball well enough until the final third, where our final ball was poor. Fewer balls than usual up to Howard which left the big man uninvolved for long periods. His contribution in and around the box was extremely modest.

Defensively we looked shaky, particularly in the center where neither Brown nor Hobbs were at their best and as usual this season there was space in front of them for Blackpool to play in.

Given the standard of the opposition I thought that the result was rather below par, we really should have won by 2 or 3.

Pleased with the win, so so perfomance. best thing was the weather!

Good post this I agree with a lot of what you are saying especially Matt Fryatt granted his two goals he scored yesterday were both taken well, and when a striker scores two goals you wouldpresume he had a good game.........But when DJ Campbell played for us he was villafied for constantly being offside the times yesterday when Fryatt was flagged offside was unbeleivable. I cannot understand why strikers don't look along the line and read the game, we lost a great many attacking threats yesterday because of his offsides. Many times as well during the game our attacks broke down because again Fryatt passed the ball to nobody one incident I can recall in the 2nd half where he just passed it into touch for no reason.

He frustrates me immensely, but has already been said he scored twice yesterday but beleive me he wasn't brilliant or good by any means.

I drove down from Keswick in the Lake District and cut my holiday short for yesterdays game, after the 4 hour drive and feeling knackered I was a little surprised to find only myself singing....two blokes in front of me left after 65 minutes (I applied deodorant before and after the long drive) and the atmosphere around me was piss poor. Even the goal kick chant was crap yesterday. If its going to be "fortress Walkers" then it has to be off the field too.

As for the game, great result, and Holloway in familiar territory having found himself losing at the Walkers at 4.55pm!

I think Blackpool are going to concede a lot of goals away from home this year. Not only was their midfield extremely spread and open, but their off side trap was just asking to be broken.

During the first 20 minutes we were having the same shape issues that we had at Newcastle and could(should?) have gone behind. After that Pearson obviously told Wellens and Oakley to stop sharing tasks and we started playing something closer to a diamond with Oakley much further forward and N'Guessen and Dyer coming infield to get involved in the play. As a result we were much better during the 2nd part of the first half and even better in the second half when King was holding and Wellens was playing from the left.

Sadly, even with the two goals, it didn't stop the complete pillock behind me from slating him

Thought it was a patchy first half but we looked the better team overall in the second, not that Blackpool didn't have a few moments of real attacking promise, but I think we were always up to the challenge.

Wellens was awesome again IMO
