StanSP Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 "As for any person out there who is asking for our manager to leave or is tipping us for relegation, go support Lincoln or Northampton as I am sure they could do with your positive vibes around their clubs!"
Guest Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Calling your crowds pathetic, funny from an outsider's point of view but a risky thing to do IMO
davieG Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Calling your crowds pathetic, funny from an outsider's point of view but a risky thing to do IMO Better than calling them poison!
Bert Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 I'd love them to go down, perhaps the most arrogant Manager/Chairman combo in the league. They deserve to win every game, and when they don't, it's because the world's against them. Slowly starting to despise them.
Tommy G Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Cocky c**t! Probably pissed off a load of his own fans aswell with that rant

Agreed, the chairman ought to back up his arrogance with some cash investment in the playing squad rather than point the finger of blame at every one else.
leicesterfox86 Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Calling your crowds pathetic, funny from an outsider's point of view but a risky thing to do IMO Same happened with Keane at Sunderland and Roeder at Norwich I think. Neither of them lastest long after making the comments. No matter what you think as a manager, you should NEVER have a go at the fans. It is downhill from there. This actually explains a bit more about fan power in terms of Keane's exit.
Fox92 Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Haven't got nothing against Peterborough. Think that the chairman and manager and that have just passion, thats all. Anway, Ferguson got them up from League 2 to this division and he gets stick- ridiculas.
tartanowl Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Calling your crowds pathetic, funny from an outsider's point of view but a risky thing to do IMO It is risky. We were called scum and cretins by our ex-chairman which was much worse. The damage still hasn't been mended from him.
Koke Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 The woe-is-me cry baby mentality by that tinpot outfit is so cringe worthy. I hope they fuck off back where they belong.

Finally two people who agree with what I have been saying since Ferguson took over. You ought to live in Peterborough. They STILL think they will turn it around and make the playoffs. Macanthony said they would come in the top 10 easily in the first year in the championship with the playoff being the most likely result. They luckily beat a lot of teams 1-0/2-1 to go up and have been found out for the simple fact they arent good enough. They get shit crowds but still think they need a new ground, which they still havent found a site on. The fans are arrogant, the manager is and the chairman is too. They have an average League 1 squad which they didnt improve and I think they will go down as they cant defend whilst CMS and McClean are the most overrated strikers ever. I fooking hate them.

Crowds are shit? Delusions of making the play-offs? Not good enough? Arrogant fans? An over-rated striker? My word, who on Earth can you be talking about?
Corky Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Another defeat yesterday leaves them second bottom.
Thracian Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Calling your crowds pathetic, funny from an outsider's point of view but a risky thing to do IMO Probably his only mistake in an interview that showed he's got some passion and is prepared to be seen encouraging and standing up for his manager. But he needs to be more sensitive to the fact that football is a luxury and when people are losing their jobs, their homes, their self-belief and the ability to pay their bills, it is luxuries that responsible people do without. Furthermore people watch football to be uplifted and when their situation at work and at home is getting bleaker they don't want more misery from watching the football. The sooner they start winning again and perhaps bagging a few goals, the sooner the smiles and the fans will return.
