maddog Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Thanks for the news that the thread has been re-opened maddog, when people have been posting in it for the last 15 minutes or so. I know but i'm just trying to claim the credit for it being re-opened, even though fundamentally it's down to DavieG I hoping DavieG will acknowledge my behaviour with some sort of award, or badge, for resisting the temptation to start a new topic about it, and Pming him first about the OS article. For outstanding services of assistance to the moderators of this forum. A bit like the victoria cross of Foxestalk really.
Samilktray Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 This is the shittest thread, ever. I still remember our bet.
Salieri Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 I don't really buy this "blame the agent" theory. Davids isn't some "wet behind the ears" up and coming starlet needing someone to hawk him about and make all the decisions for him. If he really wanted to come here then he'd just instruct his agent to get it done. I want this to happen, especially after reading through all of this dross (although to be fair, that minor bitch fest was entertaining ). Please let this be over tomorrow...
Karljohn Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Not bothered if he signs, anyone who takes a week plus to decide thinks he's bigger than the fokin club anyway IMO.... Would rather see this money invested in 2 decent full backs and Waghorn instead of someone who's going to give us half a season and spend the first 3-4 weeks after arrival trying to get match fit.
Samilktray Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 What bet?!
Daggers Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 No no, I wasn't calling you a joke nazi, I was referring to those who you thought would be outraged by the joke! Ace. In which case I want to be the 'Gag Paedophile'.
Tuna Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Davids Ain't coming. He never was coming, this was all a publicity stunt and milan and everyone who got excited about this has been very gullible. I'm fed up of hearing about it to be honest.
Rocky Dennis Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Ok, so, at least we'll know one way or the otherClosure, that's all I want (I feel like Gerry McCann) I wouldnt normally say this as I dont know you but, for you to make that 'joke' you must be a bit of a twat!! I hope you never suffer such pain in your life as the McCanns do.
Lillehamring Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Would i be wrong to think this means that he has agreed to come and they are just leaving us in suspense? it would make a lot of sense - all the fake 'deadlines' to keep the press ticking over between our two televised games.... if they knew he wasn't going to sign they would have dropped it ages ago, as failure isn't the sort of publicity they are after - at least that's what i hope.
ibbosuk Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 From the OSDeadline For Davids Posted on: Thu 29 Oct 2009 Leicester City Football Club have today confirmed that a decision will be made on the future of former Dutch international, Edgar Davids, by midday on Friday October 30th. The deadline has been initiated by the club, following weeks of speculation. Both the club and Davids have been in negotiations to agree a deal and it is hoped that an announcement will be made on Friday. Leicester City Chairman, Milan Mandaric, said: "We are keen to bring Edgar to the football club. He is a talented player, known throughout the world and we have done everything possible to bring him to the Walkers Stadium." He added: "Edgar has expressed an interest in joining us. The decision now lies with him and his representatives and we are sincerely hopeful that he will become a Leicester City player on Friday." Lets hope its a No, then we should put a big bid in for Cleverley in the Jan transfer window. Thats the kind of thing we should be doing, not farting about with some old has been.
Ozwin Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 I wish I worked in the media so I knew all these tricks of the trade. It's so tiresome now.

dogadug Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 I like that idea. but maybe we could get both? or maybe we'll get none of them
