It was a guess but I still think it's not going to be Strachan! I think that if he was such a cert the bookies would of stopped taking bets on him by now.

ramboacdc Posted 22 October 2009 Posted 22 October 2009 gotta feel sorry for southgate getting sacked for "low attendances" sorry but a team that was premiership going to the championship having low attendances? it happens everywhere but they dont sack their managers over it. Yes he lost 3 games in a row at home but they are still challenging for the top spots, southgate didnt do that bad imo.

That and I think that Jobs will have already laid out a plan for getting the new manager he wants in long ago... if the decision to sack Southgate was taken 2 weeks ago, they'll have been searching for a new manager since then and so I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone out of contract as Southgate's sacking probably means he's now agreed to go to them.
