Fox in a Box Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1841823,00.html Leicester City Football Club have today announced that Edgar Davids will not be joining the club. The former Dutch international midfielder has been in talks with the club for the past few weeks, but the parties were unable to strike a deal. Leicester City Chairman, Milan Mandaric, said: "Unfortunately we were not able to come to an agreement with Edgar and his representatives. We have decided not to take this matter further and wish Edgar luck in his future career."

lildave3 Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Disappointed and relieved at the same time, which I find odd.
markbsac Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Davids going to QPR now ? not bothered we move on.......sign waghorn sooner have up and coming footballers who have years left and things to prove....big time charlies dont cut it with me !
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 I can't stand another 100 pages of this.
Ricey Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Makes you wonder though, why did Pearson and Milan openly talk about this deal? They could have easily refused to comment, instead they banged on about how Davids was interest and they hope to tie it up soon....only for everyone to be disapointed. Must have distracted the squad slightly as well.
Fox You Forest Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 They'll be counselling sessions in Daggers Chill Out Tent should anyone need them.
MikeyT Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Disappointed and relieved at the same time, which I find odd. Yep i feel the same way. Glad the saga is at last over but would have been nice to see Davids in a City shirt.
jimmer Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Davids going to QPR now ? ha ha that made me chuckle!
AyewJoking Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 put your money on andy king scoring the winner! something to prove!!? BISCUIT!! What has King got to prove, he will never be in the same league as Davids.
suffolk fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Yep i feel the same way. Glad the saga is at last over but would have been nice to see Davids in a City shirt. No it wouldn't a washed up past it, once good, but now too old footballer we don't need him never did end of move on!
Guest Bilo Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Good. Only want players who actually want to play for the club and not use us as a meal ticket. Sign a youngster with ambition and hunger, that's the way to build a future. Let him go to Notts County and quit after a month.
mmarkie Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 I swear Mandy said if not Davids then someone else?
Guest Bilo Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Disappointed and relieved at the same time, which I find odd. Definitely relieved. If Davids signs I will upload a video of me walking through Leicester wearing a miniskirt, thigh-high boots and a Derby County shirt on matchday.
Clarkielcfc Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 complete waste of time IMO, all the hype for ermmm....nothing!

SOOOOO Happy this was going to end badly for us if he had signed, Now we can concentrate on getting in Tom Cleverley on a permanant deal in the Jan tranfer window....(NOW WE ARE TALKING)
Ford Super Sunday Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Disappointed and relieved at the same time, which I find odd. Exactly my sentiments While it would have been brilliant to have him, it's no great loss, it isn't like he was critical to our success or anything. QPR tonight, and that'll do for me. The words OH WELL come to mind.
Monk Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 In retrospect as exciting a prospect as it was, he never would have fit in to Pearson's style. We're better off growing our team organically and building a team of players that can stick around.
