StanSP Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 I wonder if Newcastle are making Sol FOOKING Campbell threads
davieG Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Love the sig Davie G. Thanks nothing against Davids - a dogs arse just seems to sum up the whole Mandaric approach to recruitment.
Matt Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Disappointed and relieved at the same time, which I find odd. This, was very excited about the prospect of not only Edgar Davids coming but of a footballing legend playing for Leicester City regardless of his age, not playing for over a year, e.t.c, but my only worry about signing him was he would be a Diva/Prima Dona type person and player, and from what we can see he was, and luckily he messed us about before he signed and we've put an end to it, We don't know what has gone on, but my thoughts are that it was all stalling at his end, presumably over the contract that was on offer. I'm actually quite glad we haven't signed him now, the more this saga has gone on, the more I have become bored of it, the more I have thought it was perhaps best he didn't sign for us.
Master Fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Well it’s an extremely sad and painful day for me. I guess I’ll have to return to my boring hopeless life now. This was probably the most exciting thing to have happened to me in years. I’ve been flicking on the internet every 5 minutes this last week, refreshing every Leicester City related page for that glimmer of hope that Edgar had signed for us. I scrolled through thousands of sport pages across the entire World Wide Web, just for any new story or development. Submersed with ecstasy since the news I read the same articles over and over. The thought of Davids playing at Leicester made my body pulsate. I was tingling all over, I couldn’t believe it was happening to me. The possibilities and dreams were endless. I could almost touch the sky. Engulfed with my deepest and meaningful fantasy, I must have been on the BBC Leicester webpage 25,642 times during the course of the week desperately awaiting the gargantuan news that awaited us. Until today, it was over. No more. The dream had gone. It felt like running head first into a brick wall. Devastating. It looks as though we’ll never have a big name star at Leicester City. We might as well just all go home now.

Master Fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 But we've got DJ Campbell. DJ is still my precious one. He will score, oh yes! Something wonderful will come of him. He will score.
LanguedocFox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Having experienced Wise, Keown, Dublin and the other "was good once and now wants to screw City" merchants, I'm absolutely delighted that we won't be adding Davids to the list. If City want to sign an elderly, unfit no-hoper, I'm available for much less than 20 grand a week.
Joe. Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 It looks as though we'll never have a big name star at Leicester City. We might as well just all go home now. I'm still holding out hopes of us wrapping up a deal for ex-Middlesbrough sensation Emerson.

Ricey Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 What did Manadaric have to say at half time on RL?
surrifox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 please no more distractions like this- use the Davids money to strengthen at full back in jan- I'd forgotten how feckin good we can be at times If I was NP I would feel like chinning any reporter asking about davids when we are top of the table and unbeaten in 6

MC Prussian Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 What did Manadaric have to say at half time on RL? He said that they'd learnt from the Davids saga and would no longer disclose any particular information on possible future signings, BUT... ... he admitted that we're still looking for a high-profile player.
