A third into the season.

3 wins on the spin.

One of the greatest LCFC 90 minute performances this decade.

Joint top.

Fryatt back on fire.

Neilson quality.

Waghorn class.

Berner amazing.

Weale superb.

N'Guessan wow.

And great options on the bench too.

Nigel Pearson is a legend.

So where will we finish, i think we should have a fair idea now. We've just beaten a quality side away from home, dominated the game.

WE ARE GOING UP, I SAY WE ARE GOING UP!!! :scarf::chant::dance:

If we spend well in January there is no reason we shouldn't still be pushing for the top 2 come the end of the season.

Our sheer determination to win and refusal to admit defeat coupled with the quality of tonight's display has increased my optimism. If we buy wisely in the transfer window and hold onto NP and our important players, there's no reason why we can't make a play-off push.

Calm down a bit some people. :D

We'll drop down a bit. It's been amazing so far, way better than I expected. Just outside the playoffs at worst I think.

The fantastic thing about tonights win, is it's going to put everyone on Foxestalk into a really great mood for the next 7 days, until the West Brom home game which i'm now seriously fooking looking forward too. Because if we play like that at home against West Brom, it would be unbelieveable again.

I'm going to be feeling great about LCFC for the next 7 days now, until it will be time to forget tonight and focuss on the West Brom. There will be no bitchiness or bickering on here now, and any of that will be responded simply with QPR 1 Leicester 2, and stop instantly.

Bring on the Baggies!

That's what i was thinking! we get beat by West Brom and it will all be doom and gloom again!

If we are still in contention for playoffs at the end of the season I will be happy. At the start of the season I would have been happy with mid-table mediocrity but after our start to the season and last night's performance I'm a lot more optimistic. A couple of intelligent signings in January (no retired former superstars) we have every chance of finishing in the top six.

As we all know the playoffs are about form and luck and if we do finish in the playoffs we will have as good a chance as anyone to win promotion.

Another bit of optimismn (sp or even a real word? :S) the play-off final is on my birthday I think this year

Optimism.

I think by the end of season though we'll be up there, not sure how up there yet though. Were looking good so far though.

As good as we were last night, we were very very lucky to win on Monday.

I can't see us finishing higher than about 5th, and we'll probably come 7th-11th. Can't believe nobody has voted '12th or below', we are one of about 15 sides of similar quality in this league. If the breaks don't go for us we'll end up very much mid-table.

We won't play like we did last night every week, and people need to remember that. I'm concerned that people will get distraught if we don't turn out performances like we did yesterday from now on.

We can beat any team in the league comfortably on our day, we will have some slip ups but I think we can get the automatics, don't see any reason why not. I'm not getting carried away, i've always said we can go straight up before a ball was kicked this season, I know t's early on in the season and everything but I just cannot see Pearson letting the performance of the team dip too much, plus I think we have the best team spirit out of everyone.

I am surprised at the negativity (maybe the lack of positivity, or cautiousness) on here, because we belong in the Premiership, let's not forget that. We are in the position we are in on merit and it is exactly where we should be. I will be surprised if we get promoted but only because it will have come a season earlier than I expected, at the moment we are playing good football and have an excellent team spirit.

It may not last everyone knows the championship is an extremely difficult league and new signing here or an injury there can shape a whole season for a club, but no-one should be surprised that we are challenging the top and challenging for our deserved place in the premiership.

Which, if we do get promoted this season, will be deserved, and we will have nothing to fear, there are 6-8 quality teams in the premiership and the rest are dross, we have nothing to fear from Stoke, Burnley, Hull, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Bolton, Sunderland, Birmingham, Wigan, Wolves, West Ham.

We will get back where we belong and we will deserve it and it will last a long time.

Why we will get promoted:

Come christmas time, most teams will be tired and picking up injury. We have options and a very large squad of quality for this division with every player being able to do a job.

That's where we take teams like Newcastle ;)

Leicester have, so far, performed so much better than what I expected. I really did think we would get relegated this season; I didn't think the squad was strong enough and I was only pleased with the signing of Richie Wellens.

However, and after a couple of months in, Nigel Pearson has really proved me wrong. Ok, the first 45 minutes against Swansea were poor, but after that, literally, I think there has only been a couple of games that I have been to where Leicester have been poor. At home against Preston we were shocking but other than that, I think we have performed ok.

So far, we have played some of the so called 'stronger' teams in the division and done quite well. Put it this way, Sheffield United, Newcastle, Middlesborough, Preston and Ipswich were all, before the season started, labelled as the teams to watch. And, from those 5 matches, we took 5 points which is great.

The signings have impressed me. Chris Weale is ok in goal and makes some good saves, although he sometimes withdraws his hands, Richie Wellens as predicted is immense, N'Guessan is ok in patches but no awesome, Robbie Nielson is a very, very strong full back, Ryan McGivern obviousley has a lot of talent as he plays for Manchester City and Northen Ireland, Paul Gallagher is an excellent signing and technically our best player.

As well as the signings, some of the players from last year Champions squad have also impressed me. Brown, Hobbs and Morrison are solid, Andy King is immense and I can't believe people critisize him and of course Matty Fryatt has scored at this level, which some thought he couldn't do, in which some of the goals have been excellent.

I think the squad is the strongest it has been for some years now and hopefully Leicester can go on and win promotion. It may be to early for us like it was for Derby the other season, but we have had to put up with some shocking players, teams, fixtures, results and managers in the last few years (well since relegation in 2004) so I think we deserve to see the likes of Steven Gerrard, Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Luka Modric, Michael Ballack and visit places such as White Hart Lane, Anfield, Stamford Bridge and Villa Park again.

Lets get behind the side as always, and come on Leicester.

:scarf:

... I always thought that I could be a leader.

We were great against QPR although can't agree with you on Neilson - he's the weak link in the side and we must consider signing a stronger right back in the transfer window - lets see how we do next Sat against the Baggies - that should be a good yardstick as to our pretentions - win that one and its looking very very promising

I'm amazed at how well you have done. You have a winning mentality after your promotion and you are playing some good football. I don't think you will go up automatic but you should be in or around the playoffs. The relegation to L1 could end up being the making of your club. You were struggling for years at the wrong end of the table and it seemed like you were only a matter of time away. Eventually you got relegated, but you have re-built and look a totally different side. Top marks to Nigel Pearson!
