MPH Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Lovely. i nice big thread of pure unadulterated speculation. Not had one of those since last week. im liking the loan idea... also bare in mind MM said at the time the davids thread fell through we are still looking for a high profile player.....
Vlad The Impaler Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 N'Guessan - Wellens - Adams - Dyer OR N'Guessan - Wellens - Adams - Gallagher Think that looks pretty strong to me BUT NIGE WILL PLAY N'Guessan - Wellens - Berner - Gallagher
Guest ttfn Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 I propose the following midfield: Hughes - Williams - Wesolowski - Porter
StanSP Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Adams in the middle? Really? His best performances have been on the wing.
SMX11 Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 We need to dip into the loan market imo. God knows who though. Gibson or Randall would be FM choices but i doubt their parent clubs would give them to us. Mark Davies anyone?
Karljohn Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 for a central midfield role? Didnt realise we were being SO serious.... Who said central midfield? the thread is midfield dilemma...I figured Dickov would suit given that he's usually 20 yards behind any attack Or Levi Porter of course.
lildave3 Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Adams in the middle? Really? His best performances have been on the wing. His only performances have been on the wing! For us I mean.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Adams in the middle? Really? His best performances have been on the wing. I think he's more suited to that role personally, I might be wrong though Better than any other options there anyway, I don't think Berner as a CM would work in the championship. Would give us a bit more pace and creativity aswell, which is what the team desperately lacks at times.
maddog Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Adams has been superb when he's played. And against Plymouth theres no reason why Verma and Asrit could get a spot on bench or a game. It's fooking Plymouth, we're going to win this anyway
Guest Mee-9 Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Possible solution N'guessan ------- Wellens ------- Adams ----------------Gallagher------------------- ---------Fryatt-----------Waghorn--------- So play with 2 wingers and an attacking midfielder.
willchafer Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 didnt clem play a full game for the reserves? just a shout...
Captain... Posted 8 November 2009 Author Posted 8 November 2009 If Adams can play Centre mid then that would solve a problem, but would Pearson go for such an attacking line up with 2 attacking wingers and Adams as a creative midfielder alongside Wellens. There is not a lot of cover there for our defence. If Clemence is fit then I would expect him to play, not something that fills me with confidence, I can't believe how short we are in the midfield department.
Mort Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Joey Gudjohnsson is a good shout actually. He getting many games with Burnley this season?
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Davids,Zidane,Figo. What? Edgar FOOKING Davids? I'm surprised we haven't tried for him before. Time to start a new EFD thread maybe?
Raj Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 What? Edgar FOOKING Davids?I'm surprised we haven't tried for him before. Time to start a new EFD thread maybe? Do it!!!
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Do it!!! I don't want to risk a lifetime FT ban!
maddog Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 He getting many games with Burnley this season? He's not starting many, but he's come on off the bench a lot. He came on at Man City. EDIT: He's started once and come of the bench 5 times.
MPH Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 He's not starting many, but he's come on off the bench a lot.He came on at Man City. EDIT: He's started once and come of the bench 5 times. thats probably enough for him to not want to step down a division...
harpendenfox Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 The dilemma is no more. The OS (yes, the OS) reports that he didn't sustain a break, and can train and play with a protective brace. So the dilemma becomes an opportunity to try a midfield without Captain Matt against Plymouth. Cue speculation.
