AmericanScott Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Burton Albion at the Walkers. It would mean Burton have made it to the third round again after their heroics against Man Utd a few years back and would be a nice little earner for them. Would be nice to play them at the Pirelli Stadium but not as good an earner for them, so I would prefer to play them at The Walkers first and settle for a replay at Burton which we win 5-1 My cousin was telling me about when we played Burton away in the cup back in like the 80's and it had to be moved to Derby's ground. We went 4-0 up or something like that and one of our fans threw a pool ball at their keeper. Ref abandoned the game and the replay was played behind closed doors. That's what i can recall him telling me.

We won the game 6-1 but the fa ordered the game to be replayed because of the trouble. We won the replay behind closed doors I think 1-0.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Either a local game away ideally Posh away for me, or a big team home or away. Would love to go to the Emirates or Old Trafford.
lavrentis Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 When's the draw made? If they are still in it Ill have Lincoln away, chances are they are out so I'll have Arsenal away.
BlueSi13 Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 thought the ground move was cancelled because gillett and hicks realised they didn't have enough money to pay for it. True, i can't see it happening for a long long time, absolutely insane a club with the sheer size and success of Liverpool cant be playing in a stadium at least on par with Old Trafford.
BlueSi13 Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Any local derby for me, preferably Coventry at home or Notts County
Corky Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 When's the draw made? If they are still in it Ill have Lincoln away, chances are they are out so I'll have Arsenal away. The second round matches are played on the 28/29th of November, so I'd assume the draw would be made on the Sunday.

I can only just remember hearing about that at the time, I was only about 6 or 7 I think. I would of been a Burton fan then aswell, I didn't start going to Leicester til the end of the Pleat era.
dypatel06 Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, or Man City Away... Or a shit non-league side at home
CosbehFox Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Favourites for me at the minute are Aldershot or York away. Both contain lovely away terraces.

Ozwin Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I want a big game, something like Chelsea away or Spurs at home like years gone by. Man City away would be nice.
jerakin Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 proud to say i was there. (not chucking stuff mind) I was there. Not abandoned, it went to completion, but we were forced to replay behind closed doors. City fans chucked bugger all, it was Rams fans chucking the wood that the Baseball Ground was made out of at us! Cheeky buggers! Can't remember a pool ball.
jonah Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 exeter away, its only a mile away from were i live so i could get proper drunk for a change!
The Doctor Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 Bordeaux away what a draw that would be. When's the draw? 29th November
nuneatonfox Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 I would like to play Manchester United at home, I reckon we could beat them . Or Oxford United away
Vlad The Impaler Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea at home for me. Just so that there is a slim chance we may beat them and I can rub it in all of my mates faces

Can't remember a pool ball. i was there aswell, a right old match, 3 sets of fans in the ground (they issued derby with a load of tickets too!) all hating each other. i think it was part of a chair that hit there keeper, and as i remember we went on to win it 6-1 ?? they made us replay it behind closed doors, and we won that 1-0

Those people piss me off, like you need a big team to make you feel good about yourself when Leicester are doing shit. Ugh.
