Dyer blows hot and cold... he was awful for a good few games... if we stick with the current format what outlet do we have if he goes off the boil? We desperately need another outlet as it looks like we are stuck with Nielsen at RB as Morrison will no doubt have to cover in central defence and lets be honest here, Nielsen and Oakley together will not be a creative output on the right.. Industrious, maybe but certainly not creative. We were hammered a couple of games ago and looked devoid of attacking options for a few games before that too... relying alot on dyer will get us into trouble... just as it did before.. we rode out luck and picked up some points ... that wont happen all season long... FINALLY someone else agrees! i've been saying this all along

He has a bad attitude and would unsettle the squad and our team spirit is possibly our best attribute as a team. He is also unproven and we would/any other team would end up paying stupid amounts for him.

Tony Pine Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 another goal scoring forward with some class a dm clean up man and another defender (who can handle pace) would be my choices we need someone who can be scoring goals when matty has his blips and helping him score more. our midfield is ok but let's be honest it's pretty weak and is definitely not promotion standard. they are just too inconsistent and ineffective at times. no1 bosses the game. dany has a lot of potential but needs to be playing. oakley may as well not be playing at times, the same with king. qpr and reading showed the trouble we have with opposition midfields who have creativity and speed. thankfully reading couldn't score for shit and we played awesome against qpr. forest and bristol made us pay. as many others have said, i'd love to see cleverley back as he has real quality. emmanuel thomas looked decent for blackpool but the new long term contract and amount of injuries at arsenal means i don't think we could get him on loan or otherwise. claridge seems to disagree with everyone regarding beckfords "bad attitude".

Not so sure watford are as an attractive learning ground as we are any more... i doubt very much anyone expected us to be 5th with 2 games in hand over some of those around us going into Janaury...
